quote: If I am going to use Auctiva checkout, do I also need enable Ebay checkout at the same time to make Auctiva checkout work? As default, Auctiva checkout is set when you signup and pass token. I know that's not exactly what you asked, but you should by default be customized for Auctiva checkout. You can turn off Auctiva checkout in your Auctiva Checkout Preferences. You use one or the other method, but not both.quote: How can I still sell Auctiva insurance and not use Auctiva Checkout? How would I do that?
A uctiva recently added a feature to your Checkout Preferences to "Auto-Purchase Insurance" for non-Auctiva Checkout transactions. I have yet to test it, as I use ebay checkout and Auctiva Insurance (have for last several years). In the past, I've always had to manually purchase the insurance (by required transaction) on Sales - Transactions page.quote: If I set up my shipping preferences to allow 'optional' insurance it shows the USPS insurance price of $1.70 in the bottom of the listing. How do I let people know that I have cheaper insurance available? That one's a little more complicated. I currently use the standard USPS rates and keep the difference as overhead on management of the alternative billing account with Auctiva. I don't use Insurance that much. However, I recently became aware that you can actually BUILD an Insurance table for billing in your eBay preferences (on eBay). It's under Combined Payments and Shipping Discounts as "Insurance Rules". You could load the Auctiva table there, but make sure you sync that info back to Auctiva using "Update Combined Shipping Discounts from eBay" on the Auctiva eBay Account Information page. If I'm correct in my assumptions, that should update the lister with correct lower rate to pass along for buyer.Danno
