I am doing tests to make sure that my merchant account is set up and working correctly and I am having a problem checking out. I keep getting an error when trying to pay with a credit card. The error that I get is "The transaction type is invalid."
I can't seem to find any references to this type of error in the help files or any past forum posts.
I have the same problem and I have a merchant account and paypal gateway is Auth.Net . I have put API Log In ID and Transaction Key number but it still doesn't work.
I have called Auth.Net but they said I have to contact Auctiva. Please help me out here....
I did receive a reply from Auctive support that fixed my problem right away. Here it is.
I believe that this behavior is occurring because you still have "None" selected from the "authiorization Type" pull-down menu on your Auctiva "Checkout Settings" page. If you select "AUTH_CAPTURE" from that menu and save your settings, I believe you will be able to complete the checkout process successfully.
