Hello,
a buyer of mine had trouble getting through the Ebay/Auctiva checkout, so I calculated everything and sent him a manual invoice for the amount.
He person paid through Paypal and listed it as an Ebay good with the item number.

Under transactions, it still says that I'm awaiting payment...is there some way to change this so I can purchase Auctiva insurance on the item?

You might file a support request (bottom of the Help page).

And, of course, if you can't get a solution in time you can always purchase insurance directly.

What do you mean purchase insurance directly?
Do you mean from the post office or can I do it through Auctiva still?

Yeah, I mean USPS. Or, if you're happy with Auctiva insurance, you can go straight to u-pic.com (which is who the Auctiva insurance goes through) and buy insurance for individual packages.

But be sure to file that support request. Actually, I think if you do that then they can purchase it on the back end for you if necessary.

I've been in similar situations before and Support has always been able to help me purchase the insurance for an item...

I went through a bit of a pain last week because I was selling most of my items as RELISTS on eBay and because of that, none of them went through the Auctiva check-out system...so I had several auctions that needed to be combined so that I could use one policy to cover the entire shipment. Again, Support was able to help each time and in a very timely manner...
