Hi there, I finally had my first insurance purchase. Before I ship I wanted to make sure that if I needed to file a claim I had all the right information. I have the page that says that the insurance was purchased (by the buyer not me) but to file a claim there is a confirmation number that is needed. I did not receive one. So it is not covered. Does does that mean I need to purchase it.
Also in order to file a claim there is a Client ID at the U-Pic site. I haven't got a U-Pic Client ID. Do I need to register there, or is Auctiva Shipping Insurance working together so that isn't needed.
To verify whether or not an item is covered by an Auctiva Shipping Insurance policy, please go to your Sales(Tab) -> Transactions page and locate the item. If there is a "View Insurance" link next to the item, then it is covered by an Auctiva Shipping Insurance policy.
Our U-Pic policy number and client ID are 720876 and 7161 respectively, which you will need in the event of a claim.

Thanks for pointing that out. I just checked our records and it appears I had it backwards. Our U-Pic policy number and client ID are actually 720876 and 7161 respectively. I corrected this error in my previous post as well.
Scatteredpearl,
We don't currently have these values posted on our website but we will be adding them to the "Shipping" section of our FAQ in the near future. In the mean time, you may want to save the URL of this thread somewhere for easy reference.
When someone checks out using Auctiva Checkout, and buys Auctiva insurance (providing that you have Auctiva Insurance enabled in your account) insurance will automatically be purchased.

I am no longer using auctiva check out so I also believe the previous poster has the same Q as I how do we go about purchasing it on each auction?
