"I have paid for these items, but it was a somewhat lengthy exercise. I don't know what advantage it is for you to use Auctiva, but for me it resulted in multiple detours and perhaps 10 times the usual effort to pay for items. Most sellers with whom I have experience just use a direct link to paypal and allow for payment of multiple items at the same time, even paying different sellers at the same time. I had to pay for each of your items separately, with separate shipping costs (and a higher total than you quoted, not a significant amount of money, but, still, higher), and for each item I had to go through ebay, then auctiva, then a separate log-on to paypal, then choosing shipping, etc, etc, etc. This also resulted in FOUR email receipts instead of just one. It would not be so bad if I could have paid for both items at the same time, but that did not seem possible."
Question: Is there any way to smooth out the checkout process for multiple items until the update is released? I sent her an invoice using the Paypal email feature for winning bidder notification and manually added all her purchases into the one email, but she still went through this tortuous process with the Auctiva checkout. She paid by Paypal, and that email sent does have a clickable link to pay via Paypal. I'm wondering if she was unable to alter the total and put in the figure I gave her at Paypal, I'll have to ask her and find out.
Anyway, I'd like to have my customers use the Auctiva Checkout feature because it's nice having all the auction data in one place, but unless someone has some good ideas on how to make this a smoother process for multiple items, I think I'm going to have to tell them not to use the checkout feature until the new release is out.
I'd greatly appreciate hearing others' experiences and ideas about this.....
