I would like to see the "Item Details" profile split into several separate profiles. Currently I have about 20 Item Details profiles saved, as I have different templates included for different types of items that I am selling. All 20 profiles include the same "Item Description", which is a template that I have typed up, which helps me to be consistent in my item descriptions. After I set up the first one, I used the "Save As" function, to save the same Item Description with 20 different Templates.

The problem, is that over time, I make changes and tweaks to the information in my Item Description. Now I am forced to either edit all 20 templates, or delete 19 of them, and go through the "Save As" process again, to resave it with 20 different templates.

The simplest solution would be to have separate profiles for the "Item Description" and for the "Templates" sections. This change would make the functionality the same as what you have done with "Shipping", "Marketing", and "Checkout" Profiles.

While I see this change being beneficial for "Item Description", other users may see similar benefits to having other elements of the "Item Details" profile split up. How about it users -- if you agree, please add your comments to this post. If there are enough of us that could benefit, then Auctiva may consider this change.

I agree...I have the same problem and I've not even saved all the templates you have! I was wondering how people deal with this...and it seems a frustration for you as well. Thanks for the post. I'd love to see them split.
