Hi! First, thanks Auctiva for all that you do!!!

Now - a time saving request! I would like to be able to set one of my Master Profiles as a Default so that it comes up automatically when I choose to make a new listing.

Currently, I start a listing, then realize at the description that my Master is not there. Then I have to go change it to my Master and lose everything I just did.

Anyone else share in my frustration here?

Would this be a difficult thing to implement??

Not sure what they would have to do to make this available, but I agree it sure would be nice.

This one is very simple guys. Click on listings, pull down one of your other listed auctions and edit it to be your new auction. All of your stuff will be the same every single time. I can list an auction in under 2 minutes this way. Good luck.

James, while I appreciate the help - that's not what I was referring to.

And I don't like to create a listing from another listing (unless it is an identical item) as it is too easy to miss details and leave information in about the former product. Not good for business.

Many sellers have many profiles. Example: One for clothing, one for dolls, one for collectibles, etc...

I sell for other people so my listings vary. When I have a majority of one category to list I want to be able to make that profile type the default. Meaning that as soon as I click to list a new item it is there. I don't have to click again to get the profile drop down menu, scroll thru the menu, click on the one that I want and then wait for it to load.

That is what I meant by being able to choose a profile as a default.

Just wanted to clarify one thing on this...

Would you want this to work just like the Listings tab feature? i.e., on this page:

In the Listings section on the left is the "Create new listing from Master Profile" feature. You can select a master profile and then hit the "Go" button and you will end up on the listing creation page with your Master Profile already selected.

What I'm getting from you guys here is that you want an Account preference so that EVERY time you goto to the new listing page that the same Master Profile is already created for you based on the account setting.

Feel free to expand on what I've said if I'm missing anything.

Let me try to explain...

When I click on Create from Master Profile I still have to click on the drop down to select a specific profile, or "template".

For instance, if I have "master profiles" for each category: clothing, toys, automobiles, collectibles.. and whatever, I want to be able to define one as a default.

So if I am listing mostly in one category that is the profile that will come up automatically (without having to do the drop down)when I click on Create from Master Profile. However... I want to be able to randomly change the default profile as there are weeks that my main category changes.

Don't want much, do I?????

So if you know you've got 10 "toys" listings that you'll be listing in a row you can select the master profile only once instead of 10 times, right? And then change your default master profile for the next category you'll be working on?

Seems like a pretty good idea to me!

I think I understand what you need and I may have a somewhat solution for you. Just ignore me if it won't work for your situation.
I set up my "master" profile to be the template that I use most often, then I set up several "detail" profiles to accomodate various types of auctions that I do (I sell for others also).
So, to start a new listing, I start at "Create New Listing from Master" then only change the "Detail" section to the appropriate one for that type auction.
It works well for me, although it took awhile to set up.
