Calling Auctiva please note the number of clients who are being panicked over their listings dissappearing off of eBay I do not believe it is doing you any good.

This information should be made clear in the sign up process, if it is in place great, if not please tell prospective clients so they can 'schedule' the disappearing act for a sales off peak time.

Hi there, I didn't know my listings were disappearing?! Does it happen at ebay maintenance time?

Hi no, there are two dissapearing acts :-

1) when you first join Auctiva, all your listings are pulled off line by eBay when eBay checks that your account has not been hijacked. That is what I am referring to at the start of this thread.

2) During maintenance (the effective day & time varies depending on where you are in the world)
your images do not appear in your scrolling gallery or Auctiva store, this happens once a week. Your listngs stay live on eBay.

Hey Choo it sure seems like Auctiva has been on the boards alot the past 2 days? But they are ignoring this post like it is the plague EekActually I have not seen Auctiva give a satisfactory answer to any post asking them to warn people about indexing issues Red Face Why do you think that is? Maybe they feel that warning people will decrease sign-ups?Personally I feel it is better to have been forewarned and be a satisfied user than not be warned and sign up only to quit using Auctiva. I am sure that quite a few people never even make it here to the boards and just throw there hands in the air and never use Auctiva again. That is really a shame.ANY REPLY AUCTIVA SUPPORT ?

Hi Taz, regarding pulling all listings for an anti-hijack check some Auctiva newbies do throw in the towel then post the fact on here, it's a bit late then.

Certainly support seems to have come back from their hol's with renewed vigour this week but yes even comments I made upwards in passing failed to be picked up so I started this thread and wow hasn't it created a stir Roll Eyes

I really do not know what the problem is afterall if it's the policy adopted by eBay with all 3rd party listers then why not mention it.

Or ... perhaps .... it isn't ... ssshhh ! Eek

Regards indexing well, sounds like eBay not wanting to invest so assuming once again that applies to all I don't think Auctiva really needs to warn of that. The joining check yes so that new clients of Auctiva can time their 'offline' period for a quiet sales day(s) must be beneficial.

I wonder how many have said to their friends Eek and put them off even thinking of joining, please listen Auctiva as we satisfied (so far) clients have to keep handing out the vallium posts on your behalf Frown

Hello Auctiva support - where are you????

Come out come out wherever you are!!

Surely it makes sense to give people an accurate expectation of what they can expect when they sign up, otherwise they are likely to give up thinking that Auctiva doesn't work. You might want to do some research on what proportion of registered users cancel within 7 days, I'm sure you can get hold of these figures somehow.
