After the glitches encountered today with listings because of server maintenence that was going on, it occurred to me that it might be an improvement if Auctiva had a home page bulletin board they can post recent info to, so that people will see that before trying to post listings.

OR, a notice that greets people on the landing page after they sign in, to tell them maintenence is underway and to check back later. Then, remove the notice after the maintenence is finished.

It would save a lot of time for customer help reps who have to answer the influx of calls and emails about errors that occur during maintenence, because the users don't know maintenence is going on.

Not to mention that it would help people who want to list auctions (particularly lots of them) if they were notified immediately when they log in, that something is going on they should know about.

I've only experienced errors at Auctiva once before and that was due to maintenence also. Otherwise it has worked fine for me so far. I'm a 'low volume' lister, I only do occasional listings.
