I know this has been asked many times before. I have to ask it again to see if there have been any updates on this matter. When will Auctiva have a pull down menu so we can add our charity to our listings.
I have been revising my auctions in Ebay. But the problem could arise in that if I do a scheduled listing, and I am not able to revise it right away after it is listed, my auctions run the risk of being pulled by Ebay. When I list my auctions, I indicate my charity in the description. But without the little blue Giving Works Ribbon next to my listings, it could easily be pulled.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE TO AUCTIVA. I know many people have been asking for this feature for a long time. I understand that adding features takes time. But this feature is long overdue.I have been listing for a Charity for many years and frankly it is a hassle to list the way it I have been doing it. Thanks

Hi, have you asked directly via file a support request ?

Out of curiosity why would eBay pull your listing without this feature ?

Yes I did ask the question directly. Did not hear back yet. What happens is that people say they are donating to a charity. On ebay they have to go though Mission Fish. When I list my item on Ebay there is a pull down menu to select the charity and % donated. In my case it is 100%. Once your listing is done, the Mission Fish Statement appears as well as a blue ribbon. Without this there is no way to verify that we are approved through the Giving Works Program.
Someone could look at my listing stating that I am giving to my Charity, but without the Mission Works verification it could be taken as false.
Some people I guess could say they are giving to a charity, and when they get paid do not send it to the charity. With Giving works it goes directly to the charity. I know it is a bid confusing. That is why we need the option on Auctiva.
Thanks for your input.

Thanks for explaining it, I hope eBay do take a strong stand on it rather just talk about it as I for one bid more for an item which was for charity than I would otherwise.

Without the electronic payment connection it would be a nice little earner for unscrupluous sellers.

I hope you get it sorted, Choo.

Here is the response I got from Auctiva

Hello,

I checked with my manager on this feature and there currently is not a ETA for its release. I will forward a feature request to or developers are the features are added to the site based of the requests for it and some other factors.

Thank you,
Auctiva Support

I think translated it means "I will forward a feature request to 'our' developers are the features are added to the site based 'on' the requests for it and some other factors.

Where "some other factors" is so vague as to be a little insulting, more like limited resources Vs demands for features from greater number of customers in my opinion, which is fair enough.

Also in my opinion societyof123 I wouldn't hold out much hope for it in the next 6 months or so Frown

You can create your listing on our site, then revise it on eBay immediately after listing it to add your charity.

Yes I know that. The problem arises when I use a schedule starting time. I usually like my auctions to end in the evening. I have to make sure that I am able to revise them just after they start. Sometimes this is difficult.
Also I have many items listed. It is more of a problem to revise many auctions than just one.
From the community board it seems to me that this feature is "truly" needed.

I know that there are many features that people are asking for and it is hard to fill everybody's request. But we are talking about donations to charities and there are many charities listed on ebay. Read the community board over the years this has been asked for over and over. There is definitely a need.
Oh! I will continue to list the way that I do for now.

Hopefully in the future Auctiva will hear our voices. I do appreciate having the many features that Auctiva has. The templates and the supersize photos are a great asset to our listings. I thank you for that.

Well Auctiva,
I messed up. I tried listing my charity auction with Auctiva, and was planning to revise it to include my 100% donation to my charity. But I was not able to revise quick enough. The item received a bid very quickly. Now I have to decide to end the auction and re-list or let it run and have Ebay pull it. Ebay could pull it because I always list in my description that it is a charity auction. Now they could pull it. If I stop and relist, I loose the listing fees.
Auctiva - here is an example of why we need a pull down option for Charity Auctions.
You have tons of templates and many wonderful features, but there are many charities on Ebay that use Auctiva. Please - re-consider and add the charity option to your format.
Thanks.

There are a lot of Charities on Ebay and I have noticed that many use Auctiva. But I guess they have to set up there auctions by revising. Maybe why Auctiva has not added this feature is that it is too difficult to set it up. I find it hard to believe that they would not want to make it easier on the giving works / people who list for their charity. You never know what is involved in setting up web features. Who knows.

I volunteer ebay consulting to a local rescue mission here in Trenton, NJ and they use Mission Fish for thier listings (about 10 to 30 a day). I have suggested many many times for them to use auctiva and they will not consider it until auctiva will support mission fish.

If we have time we're going to add it in our early June release before eBay Live. Until then listings can be posted and revised on eBay to add your charity.

That is good news - hopefully it will go through. I tried revising my auction see the post on Feb. 12th. I ended up ending the auction and re-listing it. I could not revise it because I received a bid. I did not expect to get a bid so quickly. This is an example of how revising an auction does not always go as planned. I am looking forward to the new feature. Please! Hopefully Auctiva will have time.
Thanks
