It would be cool if Auctiva automatically stripped the ".JPG" (or whatever) off the file name and put it into the caption field. Keep the "manage images" menu so I can enter a wordy description, but often it would be sufficient to just display "Top View" or whatever (I named my files so the name would be useful to the viewer - I was disappointed to find it didn't display - I was even willing to live with the display reading "Top View.jpg".

PLUS Since searching the forums has shown that lots of people don't grasp the "show captions" option, there should be a help box associated with it.
