was also getting timed out last night and this morning. the images we later today on the last batch we posted....first try resulted in errors on 58 of 125 items. re-sent the 58 and 7 returned errors....we had changed nothing at ebay at this point and have always had "my own hosting" selected in our preferences. anyway out of this batch only 7 failed after repeated tries all day today. then I checked the "view confirmation" and it was showing everything right including the image link and my own web hosting was selected on the syi form. then decided I'd better check our preferences and lo and behold the eBay GREMLINS & PINK TROLLS had been up to THEIR USUAL HAVOC RAISING. somehow they had changed our preference back to eBay pic services ????????
It had to be an eBay fart because the 7 items were all done the same way as the other 118 in the suspect batch and they were even in the middle of the upload...
who the f$#@ knows with them sometimes.....

Heh, thanks for clarifying that Bob, I didn't mean to suggest that you had messed with your eBay settings. Smile

Also, I just raised the script.timeout value on our servers (as the error message some of you have seen suggests). So in addition to the other changes we've been making, your batches should now have more time in order to process. Just made this change at 7pm tonight.

Hi,

while posting to my ebay store

I get an error SYI.B12.1002

On the confirmation page there is no radio button selected for start time.

and I also get the
"Your browser is not compatible with eBay Picture Services. Please use 'Your own Web hosting' to add pictures."

I checked my ebay prefs, they were set correctly.
for using my own web hosting.

thanks
Donna

Have you deleted all of your items that failed to schedule from our website? When I looked at your scheduled items page on the website I did not see any auctions at all.

It's best to leave your failed items on the website so that I can investigate what happened.

Which error message are you still seeing? What is the size of the batch you are sending? You might want to try smaller batch sizes if you are sending over 100 items at a time. Try a batch of 50 or so just to test and see if that works.

Have you been posting store items in the past that worked without a problem?

It looks like we're not posting the store items correctly. I wonder if that radio button for post now or schedule item on ebays posting page is new. Anyway, we'll need to look into this one for a bit. I'll post back when we find something out.

Okay,

That actually turned out to be an easier problem to figure out that I first thought it would be.

There is a bug with Mr. Poster in that we allow you to choose 3, 5, 7, 10, 20 day durations for Store items. These are not accepted by ebay as of July 2003.

So, in order to get your items to post, you'll need to open them up in Mr. Poster and select a new duration. Either 30, 60, 90, 120, or good till cancelled.

This is what it took for us to list 1 batch of 100 items tonight:

First attempt: Listed 18 of 100 with 82 ERRORS.

Second attempt: Listed 47 of the remaining 82 with 35 ERRORS.

Third attempt: Listed 10 of those remaining 35 with 25 ERRORS.

Fourth attempt: Listed 11 of those remaining 25 with 14 ERRORS.

Fifth attempt: Listed the remaining 14 items.

In other words, it tooks 5 different submissions through Auctiva to successfully list 100 items from a SINGLE BATCH.

We were hoping things would get smoother with Auctiva being part of the eBay API now.

What can we do to fix this issue?
