Since the 1.7 version update I have not been able to update Store Categories. This has been going on since JULY!!

I've seen several threads where at least 5 other people mention having the same problem, but no solution is ever given.

I've started two trouble tickets, but gotten no help.

I've been told that the techs are working on it, but they've been "working" for months and months with no solution.

I've been told the problem could be caused by any number of different things, some of which may be wrong with my computer, some of which may be wrong with eBay. Oddly, although the error message says that there's been an authentication method error, that's not one of the things Auctiva thinks could possibly be wrong. It could be the dot net framework or the eBay API, but surely it could not possibly be an authentication method problem, because that would mean it was a problem with Auctiva's programming.

Since your programmers have been too busy to get to this since July, how about you let me look at the xml you're using to make the API call for store category updates? Hmm, pretty please? I bet you a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts there's an error in Auctiva's coding, either the AuthnAuth Token isn't set up right, or someone left in some stray RequestUserID and RequestPassword tags from before the API change (which will screw up the authentication even if the token is correct).

P.S. Please don't tell me to regenerate my token either. There's a difference between an authentication error and an authentication METHOD error. The first one means that the authentication was attempted and failed, and a new token may help in that case. The second means that the coding used to try to get athentication was bad (or missing) in the first place, so the request was rejected and the eBay API never even looked at the token to see if it was good.

Hi.
I am having this problem myself. I've read thru the old posts and don't see any solution posted. I've just decided not to even try anymore. I'll just use Auctiva online or something else. I have a .net error as well.
