I want to know this, too! After years of using Mr. Poster I am about to switch to Turbo Lister.

I ask support...they are working on the updates. No date or ETA. Now would be nice...I hate using SYI. roxie17, you don't want to ever download Turbo Lister.

Bummer - that means indefinitely. Well, I have to get started this week so I'll spend today looking for another alternative to Turbo Lister. I don't like Turbo Lister very much either. It's not as fast as Mr. Poster and it has all these extra steps to it I personally don't need. But it's the closest thing I can find. I don't like Blackthorne, I don't like Vendio, I don't like anything web-based. I just want a simple offline tool like Mr. P. I have an old system that works well for me. All of my photos and descriptions and templates for a couple of thousand items are prepared in my old Frontpage, and then I just paste everything into Mr. P and it just takes a few seconds with each listing to snap everything else in. I just don't see how you can find anything faster. I'm sure there is a better system, but I've wasted a lot of time over the years looking to no avail. I must be crazy because even Jeff in Auctiva customer support said there was nothing good about Mr. Poster. He said in a thread started by shadow738, "The pros for Mr. Poster is that it's desktop software and runs on your computer and you can use it offline. Just about everything else is a con." I don't understand what I am not getting. What are the cons aside from the fact that it is not regularly updated and sometimes you get errors when you post batches? I just hope, if Mr. P should be updated within the next month, I can import from Turbo Lister. And as I've said and others have said in the past, I'd be glad to pay a low monthly fee for a perfect Mr. Poster. Thanks for your reply, vevee

roxie, I know what you mean, there is nothing to compare with Mr P. Obviously no one at Auctiva has even used it to really list or they would know why we like it. I would still be mourning over the loss of Mr Lister, if they hadn't developed Mr P I have used their on line listing service and it is nice, but it does not compare to Mr P. You can copy and paste into the online service too, if you didn't already know that. Of course if you are on dial-up I understand why you wouldn't want to use that. Good lucj and lets hope they are almost done with the updates! One can always hope...

What I've been doing... to avoid the horrible fees from using Turbo Lister... is creating my auctions in Mr. P, then copying the listings into my templates in Turbo Lister. I still have the Mr. P/Auctiva code and HTML template without paying for the stupid Listing Designer, and keeping all the good things from Turbo Lister like category updates, reliability, and other updated services. I must admit, it's been a pain in the ass, but well worth it for the number of auctions I'm working on posting. This will save me $$. I too wish that Auctiva would get off their lazy butts and actually come out with a new version that would work well. The first time I tried posting an auction with Mr. P, I receive an error message and it never posted to eBay. I had to go onto eBay with the template/listing I had created in Mr. P, and manually enter it onto eBay. It's a good thing I wasn't planning more than a single auction at that time. I doubt that anyone from Auctiva will actually respond to this, but at least I was able to share my experiences thus far. I was actually a convert from Turbo Lister, trying to find an easier/less expensive method of listing on eBay. As is plain to see, I'm not fully converted.

I finally gave in and switched to Turbo Lister, and to my surprise, I am actually quite happy with it. I don't know what problems other people had with it, and I hear it has bugs in it, but so far so good knock on wood. The duplicate item feature was really nice, as was the bulk edit feature. Saved me lots of time. Only problem I could see was you can't click through items very quickly. It kind of stalls for a couple of seconds. Kind of annoying when you are proofing. Mr Poster has it beat there because in Mr P you could launch in preview mode and race through everything very quickly. Over the years I don't know if I was stupid or crazy or did not try Turbo long enough, but I tried it in the past and ruled it out several times for reasons I do not remember. A new improved Mr Poster may still be better, but for now Turbo Lister is suiting me just fine. I'll continue using the auctiva showcase and templates, though. So I guess I'm outta here. It's been fun!

Still no update to Mr Poster...
I refuse to have turbo lister on my computer. I dislike, I repeat, REALLY dis-like the on listing service with Auctiva.
I guess I will continue to use SYI form through ebOg. I HATE it as bad as I do the on line service at Auctiva but find it quicker.
I will probably find another service to use even if I have to pay for it, as I am willing to pay for Mr Poster, just to get it updated regularly. It's like saying good bye to a dear friend forever...:~(
I will find other third party insurance also, no need to partially support something that I can get somewhere else just as easily. :~)
