Hi, all!

I posted this question in the Image Hosting forum, but have gotten no replies after five days. I'm planning to open an eBay store in the very near future, and need some advice on how Mister Poster deals with images for store items. I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers :-)

I list all my auctions via Mister Poster, which automatically uploads my photos for me and places them into a Mister Poster folder in the Images section of my account.

I plan to upload my store items via Mister Poster, as I do with my auctions. Will photos of store items go into the Mister Poster folder automatically, or will a second folder be created by the program for store item photos? The reason I ask is this: When I delete photos from Auctiva, so as to stay under my plan's space limit, I often delete by date. I plan to list most store items as 'good till cancelled'. This means that some photos in my account may have very old upload dates, which would mean that the only way I can clean up my image account would be to go through pages and pages of photos, removing them the 'hard way'.

If the photos go into a 'store photos' file of some sort, that would solve the problem. However, if I create the file myself, and move the store photos into it, I'm assuming that all of the URL's that Mister Poster creates in my store listings would become incorrect.

I may be complicating this in my mind -- is there another user with a store, who lists with Mister Poster, who could give me some pointers or information here? I would be very grateful! Just pretend you're talking to a total newbie -- because as far as store items, I AM a newbie! Thank you so much!

Hi, Tom!

Thanks so much for the suggestion! Thing is, all of the items I auction are unique, so deciding which photos to keep isn't the problem. The problem is the amount of time it takes me to go through a large number of images page by page in the "Manage Your Images" area, deleting photos one small group at a time. The "Image Cleanup" option is SO much quicker, but the only way to use it is by date range, or 'names starting with'. In MP, for auction photos, date range works perfectly -- I can keep photos up for two weeks, then delete them. But that wouldn't work for store items listed with the 'good till canceled' option on eBay.

Is there any possibility that you guys could add this feature to MP sometime in the future -- having Store images placed in a different folder, or in a subfolder under MP in the image area? Just a thought -- it would make managing the photos so much easier :-)

I'm sure there are other MP users who have stores as well. I guess they must be using the "Manage Your Images" option to keep their hosting space under control. If any other store owner has a quicker way, I would be grateful to hear about it!

Thanks again, Tom, for taking the time to reply! Have a great evening!

Jenny
