I'm totally confused now... I registered as auctiva.com and listed a couple of items to test it out; I really like the store window view in the listings. So, I then read on the forums about Mr Poster; so, downloaded that and tried to use it. It seems that it uses a different auctiva website. My question is: Can I use Mr Poster with the newer auctiva site rather than the classic auctiva? Also I have made a custome listing template using the auctiva.com site; can I use that Template with Mr Poster, and will items listed with Mr Poster have the store window view on the listing?

Mr. Poster only works with the classic Auctiva site.

Since it's a clone of eBay's Mister Lister program it has exactly the same features and works the same way. What that means is that you have to do all your own HTML and paste it into the description box.

That works great for some people, but it's not everyones cup of tea. Which is why we made the new Auctiva site and have all the features we have now to help people create their tempaltes and HTML and get their pictures in nice and easy.

The pros for Mr. Poster is that it's desktop software and runs on your computer and you can use it offline. Just about everything else is a con.

I want to use Mr. Poster and i understand that any HTML would need to be posted in description field.

Is it possible to use Auctiva HTML templates?
If so where might I get that?

You can use Auctiva templates in Mr Poster by doing the following:

1) Go the Create New Listing page on Auctiva.com
2) Enter in your description to that listing, select the template you want, and save it.
3) Go to the Saved Listings page, select the listing you just created using the checkbox on the side, then click the "Get HTML" button on top.
4) Select all the HTML from the resulting popup window, copy it, and paste it into Mr Poster.

It's kind of round-a-bout, but it will get you the Auctiva template HTML into Mr Poster Smile

shadow738: Sorry but currently there is no bulk upload feature to the auctiva.com website, but it may be a feature we add in the future, thanks for the suggestion Smile

I agree with the bulk upload feature. It is so cumbersome to list items one at a time when you have to do it eBays way and list every single size of something in a separate listing. You have a great service, but it's very time consuming. Thanks.

Oh well,

I just waited 4 hours of my dad setting up listings on the auctiva.com site until I realized you cannot schedule items in bulk.

Then I downloaded misterposter, and I realize I can't import auctiva's own stuff to misterposter since it's classic auctiva?

then where is misterPoster for the new auctiva?

I think auctiva should be less misleading. instead of saying they do scheduled listings, etc they should say you have to sit there for hours doing things ONE BY ONE.

Hello,

You can schedule items in bulk from the Auctiva.com website. Just go the saved listings page, and select multiple listings using the checkboxes on the side. Then click 'schedule' and you will be brought to the campaign scheduler where you can schedule all the listings for the same time, or stagger them in incremental posts every 1/15/30/etc minutes. Please me know if I misunderstood your concern Smile

Hi,
I too, was hoping to use auctiva templates in conjunction with Mr.Poster. I did create a custom template using "Traffic". I copied the html and pasted in the description section of Mister Poster. That part works but then when I save it I can't access it again because it goes in a folder that won't open when I go back to it.
Can anyone explain how to use Mr.Poster and auctiva templates to be saved on the desktop?

We are trying to use both (Mr.Poster and auctiva templates) without having to go online. It would help us save time as we are stuck on dial up.

I hate to tell you this but mr lister you dont have to use html if you dont know how. But you do have to pay for themes. So mr poster is not a clone of ebays mr lister, there isn't even any way but html to use a theme in your auction.
No less I still cannot get it to hook up with abay to auctiva, I found where I entered info and it is correct.
