New version of Mr Poster is officially released as per Kevin's last post. This version utilizes eBay's new API (since they shut off their old one). Also two other major changes:

1)You will now be able to update your custom store categories directly from eBay instead of manually entering them in (see the File menu).
Your manually entered store categories will no longer be used, so please update from this menu in order to continue posting in your eBay store. This is so that you can utilize all possible 300 of your categories (instead of just 19 like before)

2) Since our old Showcase Pro is no longer being supported, the old storewindow HTML will not be inserted into your auctions anymore. If you would like to use our new storewindow (free!) then you will need to sign up for it at www.auctiva.com as per the email we sent out about a month ago. There is a new section in the Settings menu to add your new account info so that you may utilize our new storewindow.

Please let us know if there are any problems with these new features or you have questions.

Ever since downloading the new Auction Helper 1.69, I cannot edit any of my auctions without an error message of some sort coming up. Is anybody else having the same problems? Worst part is I was away for a week, and now I need to list some items to make up for the down time, and now this comes up...HELP!!!

We are having a problem also. we can't preview or save any listings. we are geting 2 error codes. when we try to preview the listing the error says that we need may need to update your version of the .NET framework and when we are trying to save the listing the error says that an unhandled exception has occurred in your application. Please advise asap!!!!

Same problem here. If you click on the next box and click continue I get the JIT debugging message.

Error creating preview.
Try saving your batch before viewing the preview of an auction.
You may also need to update your version of the .NET framework.

Store categories will not update either....a whole page of the problem is listed.

I also had a problem revising batches of auctions with 1.69 or adding new listing to existing batches - these batches were originally created with 1.68. I was able to revise and add to the batches by reverting back to 1.68 (by replacing the MrPoster.exe file with the 1.68 version which I had saved- just in case) And then by updating to the 1.69 MrPoster.exe I was able to list them successfully. Thought this might help someone ...

Hello everyone,

You will be unable to view/modify store items (or items being posted to store categories) until you have updated your custom store categories from the File menu. Version 1.69 invalidated the store categories you had manually entered before and we now retrieve them directly from eBay.

If for some reason you are unable to update your categories (or still have problems after you have updated) please file a support case at http://classic.auctiva.com/help/help.asp so that we can get more detailed error information to assist with your issue.

Ok I got NO E-MAIL regarding any of these issues and my settings are set to receive notices and updates. My showcase is not showing up in any of my auctions of course, so does this mean I have to edit my 2000+ listed auctions to support the new showcase ?

Ok I am not even sure if I am posting this under the right topic, but here goes. I went to the 'new' Auctive site to sign up. I have been a classic auctiva user for many years. To sign up on the new site I had to create a new user name, a new e-mail address, etc. I did so successfully, and it told me it updated all of my current eBay auctions to the new site. The listing summary says I have no current auctions. I have over 2000 current auctions. I tried to create a new ad with the new store window. It says I have no current auctions. I don't know how to proceed. I need to know if I have to edit every one of my over 2000 auctions with the new store window HTML ? I need to know if posting new listings with the new auctiva site is going to include all of my old / current listings in the new window ? There was an update for Auctiva postr this morning and now all of my store categories are gone even though I performed the update (I posted this under the other thread regarding this). My tools menu is not the same for V4.05 as the instructions that are given. I have too many questions. I am reading the boards and only becoming more confused. I received no notification whatsoever regarding this.

fishone, make sure your classic auctiva username and password are entered in the Settings menu then click File and click Update Custom eBay Store Categories.

I did file a support case but have not received a response and now I think there are problems with that also. My issues are not specifically with the new auctiva site per say as mentioned above. I filed a support case regarding my issues with my store window and store categories on the old auctiva site because I am a classic Auctiva member. Or maybe I should say "was" because I created my new Auctiva account at the new site using a new name, password and e-mail address....however my Auctiva Classic account seems to have disappeared. I cannot sign on to it so I don't know if you will even get the support request I filed this morning under that account. This is getting way too complicated. Are there any users here that are experiencing the issues I am above or anyone that can help ? I can't wait two days for a response for a support request when I am not even sure now that it was received.

Hi there David and thanks for responding so quickly ! I filed the support case under my classic account which is / was simon16436@aol.com.....I then filed a request under the new site under FrankEdwards. I haven't received a response to either. The second support case was just to see if my classic accoutn was canceled since I can no longer access it. I was forced to make a new account on the new site to access the new store window details otherwise I would not have even opened a new account. It would not let me access the new site without creating a new account. To top it off the new store window is not working for me and every time I try to enable the "toke" it tells me that I was successful, yet every time I try to proceed with anything else on the site it tells me I have not enabled the toke. I don't even want to use the new site. I am just trying to fix my store window and categories. None of the options posted here so far have corrected any of the problems and I have ended up with more problems as a result. At this point all I am trying to do is get my store categories updated in Auctiva poster and fix my store window showcase. Can you at least answer one question here for me ? I have over 2000 items currently listed on eBay....all have a showcase using the old HTML - does that mean I am going to have to edit all 2000+ auctions to correct the showcase ? That is an unbelievably time-consuming task. I tired to post a new auction using the new showcase HTML but it reflects that I have no items listed at all, including the item I listed to test it. Gawd, I need a drink right now...a strong one !

Ok, I checked in on your new auctiva account and the reason why it shows you have no listings is because you have not yet generated an eBay token. You can do that here: http://www.auctiva.com/account/ebayaccount.aspx

As for your old showcase, we are currently working on a solution to automatically remove the old storewindow from your auctions and replace it with the new storewindow, so you shouldn't have to worry about that. We expect it be done in about a week.

It looks like your classic support case was received and will be responded to shortly. I'm not sure what happened but there doesn't seem to be any support cases on the new site under the name of FrankEdwards Frown but hopefully I answered your questions about that here. Let me know.

I tried to update my custom store categories, but I get a long error message about something like an invalid connection method to ebay.

I have made sure my authentication token and ebay id/password are up to date.

Anyone else having this problem?

Any chance they are going to fix it?

I'd open a support case, but I never got any response to the the last two support cases I opened, so what's the point?

I filed a support case about this. They have sent it to the developers and said they are working on a fix.

I hope it does'nt take long. I just want my 1.68 version back again. I will never voluntarilary update again. Wink
