I have tried one batch 3 times, another batch twice and a third batch once in the past hour and ALL are getting this error. Have done all of the corrections I know of (rebooting program, rebooting computer, disabling virus/firewall protection) WHAT IS THE DEAL TODAY ?????

This has been a problem for me for several months. I stopped using Mr. Poster because of it, but if it is solved I would go back. They seem to be stuck on this bad situation and the worst part is that it is an intermittent problem. It does not effect all users at all times, so the solution is elusive.

Hi,

Do you guys have the latest version of either Auctiva Poster or Mr. Poster? Can you post what version you are using here?

Our http://www.auctiva.com site is having problems right now and is extreamly flaky. If you have an older version of one of our posting programs, it will still be trying to go to http://www.auctiva.com instead of going directly to classic.auctiva.com.

Now that the http://www.auctiva.com site is back up and running, I'm guessing all Mr. Poster problems are no longer happening?

Please let me know if things are working properly now or not.

Thanks,

-Kevin

Greg,

Thanks for the update. Turns out it was unrelated to http://www.auctiva.com being down. We now have the issue fixed and you should be able to schedule items from Mr. Poster or Auctiva Poster without a problem.

Yeah, well, apparently not fixed!!
I scheduled several auctions to begin tonight, at a time when I do most of my business so that they would end at that time next week. Well, it is well past that time and, yep, you guessed it, my listings will not post to ebay.
I've tried everything, the sceduled posts didn't go and when I save and try to post now, that ain't working either.
I'm about done with this site. If I ever get these auctions to list, I am calling it quits after this one. I just keep running into problem after problem.
What a major inconvenience...and more than likely potential loss of sales.
Thanks Auctiva!

Me again,
Guess what...my listings started to post...and post...and post...so I have duplicates. I cancelled the repeats and contacted Ebay live help to see if I would be charged for Auctiva's screw up and guess what...yep! Luckily they were able to credit my account, this time.
Wow, what a MAJOR PAIN!!

hi Kevin,

It was a disaster the first part of last week (28th and 29th)ie: the worst it has ever been.

from the 30th on it seems to be working ok again.

I am still posting store items this weekend and so far so good.

will let you know if it dies again.

it's not so bad when it happens once or twice during posting but when it happen 4 times in a row on every batch it really begins to piss you off.

I too had thought you folks had repaired this but that's what I get for thinking.

ps.. we have the newest version of MP and are running with cable using XP.

I am also one of many folks for whom this problem persists despite all efforts of the folks at Auctiva.

I write my own XML file and transmit it through Mr Poster (ver 1.66) so I was able to try an experiment. I split my batch into individual "batchlets" of one item apiece and tried sending these one at a time. I find the "XML error" occurs a little more than half the time. It seems like some kind of timing problem. That is, for a while every individual listing will fail, then two or three in a row will work. Stopping and restarting Mr. Poster also seems to get two or three through before it bogs. There is no rhyme or reason to it though, since a batch that failed one moment will go through maybe the next try.

I'm nearly certain it's not a problem with anything running on my PC: otherwise why would the same 1-item batch fail, then work with no changes?

Do the batches get transmitted directly to eBay and collide with something in their API? Could they be "buffered" at Auctiva and retransmitted again and again until they go? Could Mr Poster get fixed with a "workaround" that kept repeating the post until they went through?

Enquiring minds would LOVE to know...

I just started to write two listings for tonight and the eBay new categories aren't updating. I already know this is going to cause a problem.

I'm so sick of these glitches!!! Is anyone working at Auctiva on weekend?

Would someone please answer?
