Crop image with fixed proportions ( 1: 1 )

Hi,

Is there a way to crop the image, but with 1:1 proportion on the selection. I tried holding ctrl, alt and shift while dragging, but nothing happened. I need this to generate thumbnails for my images. Is there a way to do that here?
