What is the 'size' that is best for the main header image?

Also, the 'featured' are on the side, causes the page to scroll, even without anything featured, my page scrolls. Is there a pc setting to stop that or is it in the page code?

I've changed the 'storewindow' colours to match my templates(still work in progress), not quite a match, but close.
