Just a thought. Could it be possible for Auctiva to store all categories at Auctiva. Have a process interface with eBay to check if eBay makes any updates in the categories then update your local copy accordingly. That should reduce the two round trips to one. Some of their prior responses to this problem suggested it was bad memory on a server or not enough memory. It's a problem that I've seen since January (my first use of Auctiva). I'll take my own guess and suggest checking for application "memory leak", i.e. app(s) or system using but not properly releasing memory. That will typically push you to a paging freezing just before you it the depletion WALL. Need one of those banging head on wall graemlins (HERE). Dan

I get service unavailable in big bold letters. I read the reply above about isolated event. Don't they understand when the app goes down we can't file a support request. I guess I should thank my lucky stars this is the first time all day I've had a problem.

Hi Jaytee28, If you log into your Auctiva account and go to https://www.auctiva.com/listings/upload.aspx you'll see the step by step instructions to help you upload your listings & their images into Auctiva using the Turbo Lister File Exchange Format. You'll simply need to export your listings from eBay's Turbo Lister app in the File Exchange Format, then in the CSV file, you can enter in your image URL in the column with the header "PicURL". Please continue with your support case or file a new one that includes what you've run into, some sample listings where it is occurring and if it is specific to mobile, please let us know what type of device and if you are encountering this using the eBay mobile app or the browser on your device so we can look into it further.

No, all URL addresses returned the same "can not display page" error message. I only can get to Auctiva WebEx. Finally, I closed E.I.6, and reentered Auctiva.com, and I can navigate Auctiva.com; however, none of my work was saved. All saved listings are in the condition or status of the prior access to Auctiva.com. The problem is created when I try to conclude and complete a listing. My account shows pending payment when actually, I paid 5 days ago. I was listing a whole load of items and then the (Auctiva) app crashed and I've lost them all. Finally, I got no pics on my ebay listings and even though I pic the ones to feature, it just sems to show what it wants. I cannot get the hang of this app.

Just read the note. At least they are big enough to own up to the mistake & it wasn't a server error and I've got to applaud them for that. Hey, I did software testing for a company that developed software for travel agencies, expedia.com, aa.com etc....I still would like to know what their QA process is before deploying new versions. I still believe that is a big huge part of their problem is they are not properly testing the app before release.

uploading pictures on my cell phone Ebay app ?

I am also having a problem loading pictures. When I list my pictures using Auctiva, I do not have a problem seeing all my photos on my computer/ laptop however if I look at those same listings on my cell phone (Apple 6 plus) there is only one picture that shows up on each of my listings. How do I correct this...... do I enable the..... Enable Optional eBay Gallery Images ..... on each listing to get all the pictures to show up on my Ebay app cell phone listing in addition to my computer ?

Using HTML in listings

Recently eBay posted information indicating that we should no longer use HTML or colored backgrounds in our listings because they will not show well on the eBay mobile app. I use Auctiva templates in all of my listings and am now very concerned that my listings will not show well when someone looks up my items on their phone. I have about 2500 listings - can you please comment?

Fair enough Jeff. I'm happy to see someone in the corporate structure actually reading these posts. My question to you then would be: If we don't pay a fee where does your funding come from? And second, what is your incentive to create bug free applications? Look, I like the concept here. I think it's great that a company will go to lengths to offer something for free to help the community. Deb, That link was to an App for the IPhone/IPod Touch. IPhone and IPod Touch (got the IPod Touch G2 for my youngest daugher for BD in April) use the Safari browser and that App appears to be a web app. The IPod Touch G2 works in wireless internet hot zones, just like the IPhone. Danno

stormasis, Neither our bulk edit revision for live listings on the Auctiva site nor our Selling Manager bulk revision app supports changing the quantity on listings, and we don't currently have plans to add that functionality to our live listing revision tool. Our recommendation would be to revise the quantity on the eBay site.

Mcafee used to be a top notch product years ago now sadly is has fallen many notches. there are several free packages that have excellent reviews and most real experts say they are all that is needed. Don't know if this was answered for you, but my advice is download Firefox, disable IE and never look back. IE is a fantastic gateway to adware and spam and it is designed for it. If you explore you5r internet settings and set you cookie option to notify you every time some site or ad banner wants to cookie your system you will be impressed how alarmingly often it happens on IE and does NOT happen on Firefox. Also Firefox offer an adblock plus app that no one should surf without. and FF...

Hello abridav, You should be able to use the optional eBay gallery images with the new templates just as you could with the prior templates. We are not aware of an issue such as you have described using the new templates. If you look at one of your items using the eBay app, you should see the optional eBay gallery images with your image when you first bring up the listing, but to see the template you would need to tap on Seller Description to see the full description with the template you...

Hello bargainmama71 - We're not aware of an issue with any of the layouts for images in the templates causing the images to fail on mobile. I've taken a look at a couple of your listings that use this layout on eBay using a mobile device and the eBay mobile app and when I tap Read More to view the listing with your template, the images are appearing correctly for me within the app. If I then tap on the image, I get a supersize page with the images from your listing appropriately. Hello again, We've looked into this issue a bit further and find that the layout does display correctly on a tablet but there is an issue such as you have noted when viewing items on a phone. Please be aware that the images are there, but using the eBay app, there is no real indicator that you can see them. My troubles started when the new templates went live on 5/31/17, so none before that were problematic and none after today were either, because now, I'm choosing "bottom" instead of side. Hello sir_Paq, That sounds like you are referring to the Seller Business Information that eBay adds near the bottom of listings. If there is a difficulty with this data showing, you will need to contact eBay support as that data comes from your eBay account directly and is not submit by Auctiva. I did check a few of your listings using the eBay mobile app and I was able to see this data there - I found it in the area about the seller by tapping on Show More and then tapping on Seller Legal...

Hi Guys, I have changed to using the Plain White template. Photos appear fine on my listings when viewed on a PC. The photos in the description section are set to horizontal scrolling. When viewed on a phone, it only shows the first photo without the ability to scroll. Which photo option would be recommended for viewing through the eBay app / mobile browser?

Hello MBK, Unfortunately, at this time, there is a known issue with the images enlarging within the eBay app on Android devices. Our engineers are aware of this issue and at this time the issue appears to be within the eBay app itself as the supersize feature operates correctly if you visit eBay on the browser of your device. Since a good percentage of ebay shoppers view via mobile phones and half are Android uaers, I'd think this is pretty important to get with eBay and get them to fix something or change code issue on your end. ALL your customers have this potential dilemma of people leaving your listings when then can't view the images. Since your crew is at this big eBay convention going on, maybe it's a great time to bring it up.

It appears that the issue is not specifically with the images supersizing as intended from our templates, but the actual zoom feature on those images when using an Android device. The old editor works fine with IE 10. It is the new editor that has issues and not just with IE 10. And this is not an issue with the old editor nor does lookandbuyme have the old editor as she has stated dozens of time in previous other posts. And lookandbuyme is 100% correct. It is "not safe" to disable Java unless you are only using the internet to read e-mail and nothing else. That should not even be advised unless the person advising is willing to pay for computer repairs, tech support...

Yeah, I'm getting the same error. I reported to Customer Service, and they have reported the error to Engineering dept. No time frame for fix. Auctiva has to fix something in their system associated w/ Item Condition, I noticed on the eBay app I couldn't relist something unless I noted "New" or "Used" in one of the categories. This was something I never had to do before, which means eBay made a change and Auctiva needs to make adjustments to it...

Hello, thanks for the feedback I guess I was not clear enough when I wrote marksight.com I should have written: http://marksight.com is the main URL of the website. and http://marksight.com/app/ is the URL of the research application. sometimes I feel like I am the only one using the Auctiva APP. It has had a lot of bugs but overall it is OK 90% of the time. Today it is not working at all and I get the strange feeling Auctiva does not care about the APP.
