Can insurance be purchased for a non-ebay transaction?

I've used Auctiva insurance with ebay transactions successfully, but am wondering if I can purchase insurance for a package that wasn't an ebay transaction or a transaction from an Auctiva store. If this is possible, what is the link to do so, or how do I go about doing so?

Hi edscars,

Thanks for contributing to our forum. Auctiva Shipping Insurance policies can currently only be purchased to cover the shipment of items that you have sold on eBay so I am afraid it will not be possible to purchase shipping insurance through us to cover the shipment of items that you have not sold on eBay.

If you have any other questions regarding your account, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the “Help” tab within your account and selecting the “File Support Case” option.
