I am in UK and having real problems using Auctiva. I scheduled about six listings and twice they failed saying API error. The error apparently is due the fact I have Java Script either in my description, location or checkout.

I have not done anything different to previous listings and really do not know what I am looking for.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

I'd recommend you open a Support Case, so the Auctiva Techies can look at that API error. They might be able to quickly identify the exact cause. They are usually very quick to answer on an API problem (from personal experiences).

Having only two out of six fail, suggests there may be something specific to the auction, rather than a bug. ebay is making alot of changes, and there could be a new restriction on certain items or listings that's got you.

Hi Millibeth,

Since a couple of your listings were rejected by eBay and the aforementioned error was returned, it is indicative that there is Javascript code in your description HTML that is not allowed by eBay policy. Such code is often introduced inadvertently when sellers paste content into the description editor from various sources that have Javascript coded into the background.

If you are unable to determine what the offending code it, please contact our customer support team using the appropriate link on our help page, http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx, and we'll be happy to help you out with that.
