Hello! I have so many questions about creating an Auctiva Store. Is there something I am missing to read more about it? I hate to ask a dozen questions, if they are all answered already in one place. Thanks so much!

Hi Maria62 -

You can take a tour of a store to see if that helps answer some of your questions.

Once you look at the store and get into the creation process, it should start to all become clear.

For more techinal questions, visit the Stores section of the FAQ on our Help page.

Let me know if there are questions you still have after that.

Hi Cara! Thanks for getting right back to me. I am excited about getting my Auctiva Store going. The templates are awesome! I did do the store tour and looked at the frequently asked questions but didn't find all my questions answered. Am I understanding that I can direct people to my Auctiva Store as well as my eBay store having the same auctions? And my Auctiva store won't be found until I purchase a domain name? And the fees incurred when I list and sell an item still go to ebay? How is Auctiva benefiting from all this, other that making money on the insurance? The items I sell are rarely fragile or worth a lot so few people purchase the insurance from me. I almost feel guilty for expecting so much from Auctiva when I am giving so little in return. I appreciate your good customer service and will wait to hear from you again. Thank you! Maria62

That's a lot of questions Smile Here we go:

1. Am I understanding that I can direct people to my Auctiva Store as well as my eBay store having the same auctions?

Yes

2. And my Auctiva store won't be found until I purchase a domain name?

No - we assign your store a default name for free from the beginning. You can use the free default name we give you, choose another free one or purchase your own. Purchasing a domain of your own is the easiest and most personal way to pick a domain name for your store but it is up to you. For now, you can find your store's default domain name when you click on the Store tab - it is right underneath the preview thumbnail of your store.

3. And the fees incurred when I list and sell an item still go to ebay?

Yes - Auctiva has no fees, but you still have to pay eBay fees to eBay

4. How is Auctiva benefiting from all this, other that making money on the insurance? The items I sell are rarely fragile or worth a lot so few people purchase the insurance from me. I almost feel guilty for expecting so much from Auctiva when I am giving so little in return.

We have a large user base and there are many customers who use the insurance. Don't you worry about a thing. Wink

Have fun with your Auctiva Store and don't forget to blog to help your store achieve better Google ranking!
