I just opened my eBay store and the a day or two later discovered Auctiva.
Is it really necessary for me to have the ebay store that I have to pay for? I am trying to maximize my earnings which at this point aren't that high because I am trying to figure out how to streamline my listing process, but things are selling!
Should I have both?

Thank you for your response! Yes, I am selling on eBay, I always have things listed, but will it hurt me not to have the eBay store, and just have Auctiva? I paid Auctiva to have a domain name and address. I know that Auctiva is part of eBay, I am just feeling like the selling manager pro and auctiva do not work well together. They do not seem to share data at all. My info does not seem to update as fast on Auctiva.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks again!
Hi,

Welcome to Auctiva.

Auctiva is an ebay Certified Provider. Auctiva is not a part of ebay. They are separate companies. You can not transfer data between Auctiva and SMP. As for speed of upating here is a quote from Auctiva's FAQ:

quote:
Our listing maintenance, which updates title, current price, high bidder, high bidder feedback, bid count, currency, and end time on your active listings page is done about every 6 hours.

SMP and My ebay are not exactly the most accurate or speediest either. Just check the ebay SMP Discussion Board and read the complaints about missing and inaccurate info in SMP.

Auctiva presently has many of the same features as SMP such as relisting and automated feedback and they plan on adding more such as inventory and shipping.

Hope this clarifies a few things.
