I joined Auctiva today and am impressed.
However, I want to update all my listings, and was told to get the HTML from my listings, then copy that into my current eBay listings.
Seemed straightforward.
The problem is, on every one of the listings, I just get a error that says 'Invalid characters were detected in your description, it may not post and/or display correctly on eBay', and then an empty pop-up box appears where I guess the HTML should be.
Now, I know that invalid characters is not the issue, as if I post one of the Auctiva listings it goes onto eBay no problem, but obviously I have paid another listing fee.
How can I resolve this? I am on Mac OS X and have tried it with Chrome and Safari. I have also tried IE on Windows 8. All the same.

Hi imacken,

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you have been experiencing.

Based on the message you described encountering, it sounds like the description HTML for the listings in question cannot be generated using the <HTML> link on your Saved Listings page because something is causing our system to believe there are invalid characters within your description, but I am not sure exactly what may be causing this in your case.

However, if you are looking to revise something other than the templates or images within the description of these listings, I believe you will most likely be able to make the desired changes directly through the Revise your Item form on the eBay website.

If you are in need of further assistance with this issue, please contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the “Help” tab and selecting the “File Support Case” option and we will be happy to continue working with you on this.

-Mike
