Hello Everyone,
I just caught the end of a radio porgram about ebay. The person was talking about a program called TED that would track all misspelled or mis-category listings. For example Liz Claiborne might be spelled Clayborne or Claiborn, you get the picture. It would then give you the item #. Has anyone heard of any type of software program??

Here's a site I use..
http://www.goofbay.com/

Plus there's another..I'll need to sign into that message board I belong to and get it for you

I bought hubster a Motorola Rokr cell phone in the last month. I used Goofbay to find it. The seller mistyped the proper spelling of the phone as ROCKER..instead of how Motorola spells it..Rockr.

WAIT! The site's partially working. But still check it out.

EDITED TO ADD: As some of you are aware we have been in constant communication with eBay regarding our tools and service to you the general ebay public. eBay have objected to a number of our tools and we have reasoned and tweaked the tools to try to fit in with eBay policies. Unfortunately our API (our programming interface to eBAy) access has been removed and as a direct result, none of our tools now work. We are not sure why eBay has revoked our access without dialogue, it may be because they object more strongly to the tools than they have told us thus far.

We are keen to re-instate our access and re-enable the tools we have, we are therefore asking our community to show their support by adding their email address to our petition that if the need arises and we do not get back our API access we will show them the community solidarity.

Have fun!

Its a down right shame that ebay does not want to allow this type of outlet for sellers and buyers to take advantage of..I mean what does ebay care if we pick up an item because it was listed wrong...not only that, but this will most likely mean more generated income for ebay in the long run..granted not millions like they are used to but every little bit counts, as they say. If we pick it up to resell on ebay then they are getting fees twice off the same item...not allowing this is a bad move for ebay in my opinion. I swear I hate to be babysat by anyone...sorry this post hits a nerve...lol

And are we talking tools being down, or listing as a whole being down?

I just put up a few listings the morning and didn't seem to have any troubles...

It's just the tools at goofbay.com, Fox. No worries (none more than usual anyway) with eBay.

As for that petition, it requires my e-mail address but I'm not going to go set up a brand new account just for that..
