Here's how it works:

First person makes a wish. next person grants that wish but corrupts it.
Be as imaginative and mean as you can be. Big Grin

example:
Person 1: I wish I had a Ferrari.
Person 2: You have a Ferrari. Made by Matchbox.

example:
Person 1: I wish I had lots of money.
Person 2: You have tons of money, all stolen from the federal reserve and now you're on the FBI's Most Wanted list.
or
You have lots of money. Made by Monopoly.
example:
Person 1: I wish I had a boyfriend.
Person 2: You have a boyfriend. His name is Bubba, he has three teeth, and his arms hang down past his knees.

Example:
Person 1: I wish I lived on a tropical island.
Person 2: You do live on a tropical island, and here comes the third hurricane of the season. Batten down!

to make this work, after you corrupt the wish, you have to make a wish of your own.

I'll go first:

I wish I was on vacation.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.

Move to Antartica! Then you won't be hot!

okay, swimordie
this is how you're supposed to answer the wish:
Your wish is granted. It is no longer hot where you live.
Because you now live in year-round subzero temperatures in Antarctica.

You're supposed to grant a corrupted wish.

See how it's different from your answer?I don't want you to tell me how to fix it, I want you to grant my wish.

Your wish:

I wish I'd slept in today

Poof!
you're still in bed.

I wish I didn't have to work today.

Poof, you're back in time, 2003, your children are little, and they all need diaper changes and you're out of diapers!

I wish I could hold a baby for five minutes and give him back to his mom.

Silly Person! <smile> They were all out of diapers at that time. We were majorly into sandboxes, walks, bike rides, magic of the holidays and more.

Your grant is wished..You're dreaming your holding that baby and gotta whiff of that none can beat it smell of a baby right after it's had its bath. You hear a baby crying and that's when you realize it's not that you have to give the baby back..it's a dream and you really HAVE a baby that will eventually grow up to a teen! EEEEEK! <smile>

I wish that in my Florida home I could have a traditional fall with leaves turning shades, crisp in the air and low 30s at night.
<sigh>

Take care, Donna
Tadaa! You have a traditional fall, complete with colorful leaves--and you spend the entire fall cleaning them out of your gutter, raking them off your lawn, and stomping on sturdy earwigs and roaches.

or

they collect in your eaves and roof gutters till your roof collapses--
then you can enjoy the low 30's. Big Grin

I wish my books would re-list themselves.
Your books are relisting themselves, in the category of jewelry and watches, for a fixed price of .01!

Unlike Suthnjewel, I live in a clime with lots of turning fall leaves and crisp fall evenings. It's awful trying to keep up with those leaves...and knowing another Minnesota winter is right around the corner. Therefore...

I wish I could winter in Florida.
Call me Donna, ok? <smile>

Alright your wish is granted and you're vacationing in Florida during the height of your chilliest temps at home.

You go out to enjoy the sun and you find you're car following a line of "snow birds" miles long...

And....they're ALL driving 15 mph and can barely see over the steering wheel.

(def snowbirds: A family/person who wants to escape the colder winter climates of the North or East by migrating West and South to temporarily visit warmer areas.)

I wish that I could get the border added and page properties properly set for my webpage all by myself.
All right Donna. I'm Jane. You know all the snowbirds traveling 15 mph?? They're all my southern Italian descent relatives seeking refuge from the iron range in northern Minnesota. Sorry...they weren't meant for the tundra of Minnesota. And they all do winter elsewhere.

You gave me a hard one, since I'm no so good with web pages, but here goes.

You got the border added and page properties properly set on your webpage and you're getting LOTS AND LOTS OF HITS...all from those Minnesota snowbirds wanting recipes for...sunshine.

I wish I could get some more sleep and truly feel rested.

Hey Jane!

You know I seem to remember one of those drivers last year telling me to pass on their Hello's to you! <wink>

Good Lord! I'm overwhelmed with recipes for Sunshine!

<poof>Your wish is granted.

Wake up feeling rested from the dose of Nyquil that you've taken. <smile> (I've had the yucks and took Nyquil last night and I'm up and about feeling better)

I wish my teenage daughter hadn't just had an eruption based on all those hormones!
Just might become one of those snowbirds wintering in your clime this winter. Seriously considering it...and I'm sorry, we all drive slow in the winter. And I doubt I'll be able to break that rule, even in Florida. Come December, and I start driving 15 mph until about April.

Poof! Your wish is granted. Your daughter didn't have an eruption, she had a 3 day blizzard. (Is that any better?)

I wish it would stop snowing.

Poof! Your wish is granted.

You now have slushy mushy gray sludgy snow along with freezing rain. This helps you to make the decision to come to FL for the winter months.

I wish I could stop being drawn to a CD I burnt last year of funny Christmas skits from Saturday Night Live. My favorite is with Alec Baldwin and the public radio interviewers. Good times! <smile> He's the owner of his own holiday bakery, Season's Eatings and his name is Pete Schweaty. And he sells Christmas Balls.

I'll be happy to share!

Still laughing here in FL,
Donna

Poof! Your wish is granted. The CD has melted in the Florida heat Cool and you've looked all over for another copy, but all you can find anywhere are CDs of Jingle Bells...and that oldtime favorite is stuck and melded into your brain far into July. And you're running around singing Jingle Bells in the middle of July and people are beginning to look at you kinda funny...

I wish I had all my Christmas shopping done.

Think you're an organ donor? Not if you haven't told your family of your wishes.

Your wish is granted and your Christmas shopping is done by a shopping assistant. However, your hired Shopping Assistant couldn't read your handwriting and instead of purchasing the requested Jingle Bells for all the important men on your list...instead bought naughty underwear called Jingle Balls.

I wish that my soon to be 16 year old didn't want to be an independent driver so badly.
