Hi Ibuyasiancollectibles,

I have not been able to locate your account based on the information available to me and cannot be certain why you are encountering these difficulties with your descriptions, but there is a conflict between the older description editor which is still enabled in some accounts and Internet Explorer 10.0 so I am curious if you are being impacted by that issue.

If you are using this older description editor and Internet Explorer 10.0, you will need to update your account to use the newer description editor we have available in order to create your descriptions using that specific browser. This can be done by mousing over the “My Account” tab within your account, selecting the “Account Preferences” option, checking the box next to “Use Design Editor v2.0” in the Listing Management section and then clicking the “Update Account Preferences” button below.

If you do not see the “Use Design Editor v2.0” option in this area within your account, it is indicative that your account is *not* configured to use this older version of the description editor.

We have been gradually phasing out the older version of the description editor and it has not been available in new accounts for quite some time now. As part of this process, if you update your account to use the newer editor, it also will not be possible to resume using the older one once again.

Since this particular issue is specific to the Internet Explorer 10.0 browser, you should also be able to work around the issue by using either the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browsers if you would prefer.

If the issue I described does not apply to your situation, or if you need any further assistance with this issue, please contact our Customer Support team directly from under the “Help” page on the site and we will be happy to continue working with you.

I already use & have been since I started auctiva firefox??? NOW what? what info can i give you to find my acct?? also how do i list if I cannot fill in the description area?? I am paying monthly for something that isnt working for me
Hi Ibuyasiancollectibles,

Thanks for the clarification. I am not aware of any technical issues that would prevent you from using the description editor through Firefox, so I suspect there is something unusual on your end (or with the text you are trying to copy/paste) that is conflicting with the editor.

In that case, the first thing I recommend trying which may resolve the issue you are experiencing is clearing your browser cache, which can be done via the following process in the later versions of Firefox:

Please click on the 'Firefox' menu button at the top left of the browser and then mouse over the 'History' menu on the right side of the resulting pop up menu. Click on "Clear recent History..." and ensure the boxes next to "cache" and "cookies" are checked, and then click the "Clear Now" button.

Also, please ensure that only one browser window is open when you are doing this or your cache may not empty properly.

If you continue to encounter the same behavior after doing so, please file a support case from under the “Help” tab within your account and we will be happy to continue working with you. I feel it is best not to discuss any specific account details on this public forum.

-Mike
