Hi!
Ebay rejects my listings. It says, "ad cannot be posted due to title, description or Ebay policy violation". No idea. Interesting... I had two same items (Dolce & Gabbana tops) and one got listed just fine, BUT the other one was rejected. Identical ads, just different sizes.
Has anyone had this issue? Any recommendations?
Thanks so much

THOUSANDS of listings with this title....but Ebay's new security measures sometimes make it difficult to list these items. They are trying to crack down on fraud, fakes, and everything in between on designer name brands.

Maybe try waiting a bit, then try to list it again. If you were trying to list 2 in a row they may have limited you. Otherwise, I don't believe there is anything else you can do (unless you contact Live Help) and who knows if that will even work.

Good Luck
Ooops...thought of another reason too. Are you a relatively new Ebay user by chance, or at least new to selling? The ebots will easily pick up on someone not established yet, more so than a powerseller, for example.

Just a thought......I'd still try Live Help, couldn't hurt. You might get lucky and chat with someone who actually knows what they're talking about Wink
Thanks so much for your help.
Yeah, I'm not a power-seller or anything and only have 59 feedbacks. But, have been an active member since 2004.
All of my stuff except for a few are single pieces. It even rejects the single pieces.
Live support is not available... it's offline.
A little frustrating as I wanted to list all of my items on Saturday and Sunday.
Oh well...just need to wait for the Live Support to come online. I e-mailed them last night.
When I get a response, I will post it.
Thanks again
Hi myliult one other possible reason is due to auction duration. Did you try to post as a 3 day auction? If so it has to do VERO do a search on eBay help to find out more.
Basically deals with counterfeiting. I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago with D&G perfume I was listing. I had to make it at least a 5 day auction in order to post it.
Makes no sense to me what the difference is between 3 and 5 day as far as if it was a counterfeit! But that is eBay for you!

Steve
That helps. After reading the article, I removed worldwide shipping and checked that I only ship to US, Canada, UK and Europe.
I sent another e-mail to Ebay saying that I can prove the authenticity of my merchandise. We'll see what they say.
Another thing, it allowed me to list a less known designer item (Iceberg). So, I think the reason for the ban on my listings is not that I am a fairly new seller, but the fact that my items are something that counterfeiters go after.
I will update once I receive a response from Ebay.
THANKS again for your help.
I had a listing pulled by Ebay due to "trade infringement" I proceeded to alot of research, a only to discover ther is no way to authenticate any of the designer Handbags and such, as authentic or not, unless you had a receipt from a paticular designer boutique, or a renowned store, that marks on the original receipt "this is authentic..". There are companies, that replicate LV, GUCCI, PRAGA, Etc. that replicate dsesigner goods to 99% accuracy. Only a Sales Rep for the paticular designer would be able to discern the difference. I am not sure how this is done under Intellectual Property Copyright Laws. After speaking with the manager of Relicas,Ltd., He told me , that he wouldn't doubt that 80%, or more of so-called "authentic'
designer goods are replications. Ebay has no legal right to determine whose listing is authentic or not. They can object to the wording of the listing. They are prtecting the rights of some to sell bogus goods, and using selective predudice for other's. I think the appropriate regulatory faction, would not be pleased. Ebay monetarilly benefits from all thesesales, therefore they are as liable as the individual who is listing the questionably authentic item. This is not good.
HERE IS EBAY'S RESPONSE TO MY E-MAIL:

In order to maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed on accounts. A restriction was placed on your account to limit you from selling or revising certain items.

Please keep in mind that eBay members are not permitted to sell items on eBay bearing the name or logo of a company if the product has not been
made or authorized by that company. In addition, the sale of counterfeit items, unauthorized replicas and unauthorized copies is prohibited by law, and therefore cannot be listed on eBay. Please note that it is the seller’s responsibility to ensure that the items you are listing are authorized for sale.

This policy also helps protect buyers from purchasing counterfeit or fraudulent items and helps protect the intellectual property rights of third parties.

eBay is not accusing you of selling counterfeit items, by any means, but this restriction has been implemented site-wide and cannot be removed
from your account at this time. You are encouraged to sell items other than this while you continue to build your reputation as a good seller.

As always, our goal is to keep the eBay marketplace a safe place to buy and sell. Under our User Agreement, we may remove listings if they breach one of our stated policies. Further, we may warn or suspend sellers whose activities breach our policies.

I encourage you to read the information available on our Help pages
about why we may remove items from the eBay site.

So in other words, it sounds as if you must further establish yourself before you can list this item, or Ebay will end your listing for you. Sorry this happened...although you might keep trying Live Help, as you got a canned response to your email. Couldn't hurt.
The real problem is with L. Vuitton. The other designers can be authenticated by a trauned eye. L. Vuitto's goods used to be authentictaed by theirown sales reps, but they nolonger provide that service. I am still inclined to get more answers. Maybe I am a pesimist, but it sounds to me like Ebay is in over their heads with law suits, which is why they started pulling new ads. It doesn't look to me as if they are doing much about established sites. Unless I have some solid "prrof", I couldn't list the L. Vuitton wallet without stating that: the odds are, that that this is a high end replica, and make no claims. Ebay had to take some action, which is by discouraging any sellers from starting to sell these items. I know unless I word it as I described, the listing would be pulled. The choice is on me.Because they make money off of all sales, they are being sued, and it sounds like it's more than they can handle. There will be, I speculate, some changes in the future to clear this matter up....I'm sure their lawyers, are very busy, trying to figure that out.
Thanks. I appreciated your input.

I overreacted at first, because I din't realize this was epidemic. It is also discouraging, that if you check out Ebay's Market Research, store items can gross 30% more on a a sale of an identical item sold at auction. If anyone has any first hand knowledge about this, I'd be intested to hear what you have to say. Anyway, I also found that fact frusatrating. I saw, what's her name Meg Ebay CEO (name?) on Wall Street Today (T.V.) She said that she regretted their promoting the trend towards stores, and fixed price selling. She went on to say, " because it[stores, etc.] took the punch out auctions"...I agree...I remember mumbling, "what a flake",listening to her. Let's hope their [Ebay & Co.'s] Karma isn't too bad!Ebay tends to make mistakes or poor choices, and then send seller's the bill.
I've recovered from my "attitude" and I will continue to sell. Enjoy your comments very much.
