If someone goes through my auctiva store to my ebay store item, will I get the ebay referral credit? I searched here and found one thread that asked if the required refid code could be incorporated, but there were no replies to that posting. From that I infer that I will not get the credit, but something may have changed since that post.

Very good question.

As long as the buyer arrives on your eBay Store item from a non eBay.com URL, you should receive the store referal credit.

I personally don't know how these credits appear on your account, but I assume they appear seperately from the normal final value fee charge on your eBay invoice? Can you let me know if that's how it works and maybe copy and paste an example of how the credit appears on your invoice?

I will have this tested out by our QA team as well and if there is any question, I will make sure to get in touch with our eBay contacts.

If eBay does in fact require the link to your eBay store item to include the refid=store param in the link, we will immediately add this to our links on your Auctiva store pages.

Ebay requires that the the refid=store parameter is included in the link for the referral credit. Here is the link to the referral credit faq:

I can't show you how the credit appears on the account, because I've never gotten a referral credit.
Thanks. Please let us know when that happens. Right now I am promoting my ebay store in my emails to buyers and prospective buyers. I'd rather promote my auctiva storefront because it has several advantages, like showing auction items and showing pictures even if I haven't choosen the gallery option in the auction. I won't do that, though, until the referral credit is available.
Hey, this idea is fabulous! I also just got an e-mail form a fevorite seller on Ebay and they had the store window scrollling on her site in her e-mail to me.

I would love to be able to do the same using my Auctiva store window and I have no idea how it was done in the email I received.

Hey, wonder if this works, I am testing....

But I may change to the Auctiva store window I just discovered.... Thanks!

It does look like the "refid=store" param is required. I'd heard in the past as long as the URL was non ebay.com, it would be fine, but the FAQ page definitely conflicts with that theory.

Will get this added asap on links to eBay store items.

Any word on when this will happen? I just got my first referral credit by directing someone to my ebay store and I'd love to direct them to my auctiva store instead. It was a small item, but still I got a $.23 credit toward a $.30 final value fee.

Hi, yes only applies to eBay store inventory items the URL for the info on eBay is :-

http://pages.ebay.com/help/specialtysites/referral-credit-faq.html

where they say :-

"The item sold must be in Store Inventory format
Sales of auction-style and regular Fixed Price format items will not earn Store Referral Credits, even though these items appear in your Store."

and they have tight requirements on how direct someone lands on your store too Big Grin
Hi Community,

Update: It is not currently possible to add your eBay store referral ID to eBay store item links in your Auctiva store, however, this may be implemented as an option in the future.

Please feel free to check with us periodically by filing a support request using the appropriate link on our help page, http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx, and we'll be happy to provide you with an update if any new information has become available.

-Mike
