Hi avk84,

Thanks for posting your question here. Although we do not offer any tools that would allow you to apply your custom template to *all* 5000 of your saved listings at one time, you should be able to apply this template to up to 250 saved listings at a time using the "Find and Replace" option that is available on the Saved Listings page within your account.

From your Saved Listings page, just select "250" from the "Items/Page" drop down menu, check the "Select All" box to choose all the saved listings on the page, click the "Find and Replace" button, select "Listing Template" from the "Select Field to Edit" drop down menu and then proceed as directed.

You should be able to locate your custom template from the template selector within your account by selecting “Custom” from the list of categories in the upper left corner of the interface.

If you need any further assistance with this, please feel free to contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the “Help” tab and selecting the “File Support Case” option.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for sharing your experience. Although there was an issue with our system that was causing the behavior you have described in the past, we made an update to our site to address that issue quite some time ago. I just a couple tests to see if the issue may have arisen again but I could not reproduce it.

If you are still seeing this behavior when attempting to update 250 items at a time on your Saved Listings page, please contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the “Help” tab and selecting the “File Support Case” option and we will look into it further.

thanks Mike

I haven't had occasion to update 250 listings since eBay "wrecked" all the jewelry categories so I am in limbo not being able to use the old Saved listings nor the old Closed listings as I would have to re-add all 15 custom item descriptions for over 350 items. I'm glad to hear that the 240/250 bug has been fixed. I hadn't remembered seeing that it had been fixed I just remember when I discovered it back in 2010.
