I agree with 2purrcats - gallery is the only way to go. I know we don't like paying Feebay but it has definatly up my sales!

I myself won't look at auctions without gallery pics unless the title really catches my attention. When I'm scrolling through auctions I'm looking for pics of items that catches my eye, and that's the way I look at it when considering paying for gallery.
Hi Newbie,
I agree it is important to use a gallery picture. The other day I saw someone selling an item with no picture at all, that works on some items, but this was an item like clothes, who would buy something site (LOL) unseen! The cost is so little and it is the first thing that catches a buyers eye, make sure too that you crop the picture so it is a good view of the item. We don't need to see your table, or wall, or closet door. The more item seen and less surrounding the better. A newbie put a picture on one time that was so far away I could not even tell what the dress looked like. Learn your picture system, make sure your picture is clear, cropped so item is up close, and the color is not too dark, do this for any and all pictures!! You will benefit from it in sales more than eBay will in fees!! Trust me,
If you are in business you have to take your selling costs into account when you set your prices. Do a good quality listing, with a gallery photo, with the right words in your title to pick up the searches, list in the right category (I only ever list in one category at a time), complete the item specifics, and set your start price to cover all your costs. If the market won't pay what you need, maybe eBay is not the best place for you to be selling.
Hi Community,

If you are listing your auctions directly through eBay, you just need to use a "Gallery" image or header image for an image of the item to be displayed in your store window. If you are not interested in paying extra for the "Gallery" feature, don't worry...because you can add a header image free of charge.

If you are listing through Auctiva, you don't even need to use a "Gallery" or header image for an image of the item to be displayed in your store window. If you do not specify either of these images, the image place in "Select an Image" box #1 will be used as your store window image.
