Hello,
I am trying to automate as much as possible coming out of my inventory system. I am able to upload CSVs to create shells of auctions, but I want my MASTER profile settings applied to each auction - and I did not want to have to pass this data into the CSV every time. Is this possible?
And as a work around, is it possible to apply the profile defaults to an uploaded auction, after the shell of it exists (just having the item title and description sent via CSV). Hope this makes sense. Look forward to any help!

Hello cjcmetals -

Unfortunately it is not possible to specify a profile for use in a listing via a .CSV file.

You can add a profile to any Saved Listing, so you could upload a .CSV file with your title, description and price information and then add other profiles to the listing.

If you encounter any difficulties with this, please feel free to file a support case from under the Help tab of the site letting us know the specific issues you are running into and we will be happy to look into it further.

Thanks for your response. I did try this - but the issue I see is that if you import it with the CSV, and then when you overlay a master profile that includes an item details profile, the title and description are over-written - even though they are not defined in my default item detail profile. It works as expected if I create a new master profile that does not include an item detail profile - but then this requires me to add a template and add item condition each time. If I could just apply an master profile that included an item detail profile (that has a blank title and description) I would be golden. Is this possible?
Thanks!!

Hello cjcmetals -

Unfortunately, as noted, there is no way to add a profile to your listings via a .CSV.

Yes, using a profile on a listing that has data in will overwrite the existing data in the area for the profile you apply. So, if you have a blank item details profile and include it in a Master or apply it to a listing you are working on, it will change the Details area to match the profile. There is no profile setting where you could include the template and condition without the rest of a details profile.
