Hi,

I love auctiva so far, I still can't believe this is free. I need to know if someone can help me.
When you first sign up your listings are pulled and then re-listed, when this happens are the original checkout settings changed ?

The reason I am asking is I normally sell 3-5 items a day , Today I didn't sell anything. I am still getting the traffic to my listings that I normally get. Are buyers intimidated by auctiva checkout, and was auctiva checkout automatically added to my previous (pre auctiva) listings ?

I love this product, I just want to use it as efficiently as possible.

Thanks

Probably due the pull and check of listings by ebay when you changed services. That takes like 6-12+ hours for a alot of auctions/Store items to complete. I wouldn't panic. See how tomorrow goes with sales. A buyer wouldn't know you're using Auctiva checkout until you go to "PAY NOW", so I doubt that's the reason.

On the checkout settings, it's my understanding you've now told ebay (via Auctiva engagement) that Auctiva handles checkout services. That can be turned OFF (and I have mine OFF and use ebay checkout). Mine was turned OFF when I first started, so don't take my non-use as a sign you shouldn't.

Thanks for the response.

I started using auctiva yesterday morning, all my listings came back like you said in about 5 hours, no problem there.

Today after seeing no sales at all,I did some searches on E-bay forums about checkout's and auctiva. The responses I read were not that comforting.
So today late today I turned off the auctiva checkout. A message appeared that said your listings with auctiva will still use auctiva checkout, your future listings won't.
So I need to know if the listings that were imported from e-bay to auctiva the first time I signed up will still continue to use auctiva checkout even though it is off ?
BTW I am not going to judge auctiva checkout by the few negative postings, I could use some guidence there. Also loads of people were complaining about e-bays new checkout system. I just really need some direction.

thanks for your help
Hi cama music,

Welcome to Auctiva. The only listings that will use Auctiva Checkout are those that were posted through your Auctiva account while the Auctiva Checkout setting was enabled, so your listings that were already active before you signed up for Auctiva will not use the Auctiva Checkout system. If you never posted any listings through Auctiva prior to disabling the Auctiva Checkout settings, none of your listings should be using Auctiva Checkout.

The primary functional difference between the Auctiva Checkout system and the eBay Checkout system is that, if you have an Authorize.net merchant account, you can integrate it into the Auctiva Checkout system to allow your buyer to pay via credit card without using Paypal. You can see screen shots of the Auctiva Checkout system by clicking the "Checkout Settings" link under the "My Account" tab, and then clicking the "View Screen Shots" link on the ensuing page.

Any additional questions or concerns? Please feel free to contact our customer support team using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx

If I'm understanding Mike's response, the checkout method is set at submission for the auction, which is slightly different than my understanding (and they are the experts). I don't find that documented anywhere, but your changing from On to Off with the message that those currently active will still use Auctiva checkout does confirm Mike's response, i.e. it's tied to submission.

On that basis, I'm not sure you can change checkout methods on those 6 without cancelling and resubmitting the auctions.
