HELP PLEASE-- I am a complete dunce using the auctiva templates and I don't know HTML so it you can help me- please talk to me like I'm a newborn babe-- I created a new listing using the "list similar" option. I had a closed listing for a handbag and was using it to create a new listing for a different handbag. Everything was fine- i uploaded the new photos and chose a different template to use. When I clicked on preview I was horrified to see that the new photos and template was there-- BUT so was the old one. How do I get rid of the old template and photos from the new listing???
thanks for the help-- I'd hate to start over- these autiva listings take me hours to do!!!!

Hey 1960srw,

Looked at your listing and without knowing how the original listing was created I can't tell you why this happened. I can tell you that you will want to delete everything in the description WSYWIG editor and type in the description you want for that listing. Then go down the page and select the template you want to use. Looking at another one of your listings like: NWOT 3 Pairs Mens Brief Underwear Kirkland Signature, when I tryed a "Create from Similar" (you are using this function form the "Saved Listing page", correct?), I got a new listing the way it was intended. Let me know if this helped.
Hi Brent,
Thanks for checking so quickly. I deleted everything in the listing window and rewrote the description and added template. The preview all looks good now. I did notice that the spell checker didn't work on that one now. I checked it after I listed it and noticed that the list of my store categories isn't along the left side like normal otherwise it looks great. I don't know if I maybe deleted to much or if its a Ebay problem.
This listing was originally crated on Ebay before I found your service. Then I imported it here and added the template and relisted. I had one left and noticed it wasn't listed anymore so I was trying to edit and relist it tonight.
THANKS
Scott
Hi Scott,

Glad to hear you got it working and you solved the problem with why you had a "double template". The category thing you are speaking of is an eBay problem, I have notice that when I am previewing many people's listings at ebay using IE, that half of the time their categories do not show up yet the space where they would go takes a bite out of the display area anyways. Just thought you would like to know this for future reference. Best of luck with your listings.
