Question..sorry if I've missed this somewhere.

I need help making things easier and quicker for myself!!!

I currently use a free photo program called Serif PhotoPlus 5.5

I download my photos from my digital camera and save them on my computer.

I go into my Photo Plus Program and have to size these photos and then click on Export Optimizer to save them as a jpeg.

Question...there has to be an easier way so that I don't have to size and convert EVERY photo that I have.

Help! Thanks Smile

Hi - All photos should be resized to Auctiva's maximum size of 1024x768 or less for ease and speed of uploading, otherwise the software must do it as it is uploading, which is a slow and uncertain process. Also they should be saved as JPG's with the quality reduced to around 100kb or less file size. This is so folks can download them in a reasonable time, particularly those with dial-up. If you are uploading a lot of photos, perhaps there is a bulk editing feature in your photo program.

Hi. Adding to Ninth's post (hi Ninth), I like Irfanview. It's a free program you can download here... or run a search for other sites.

You can then easily do a batch conversion and even add a text watermark if ya want. Once the program is open, click on File and Batch Conversion/Rename. Select and load all the photos you want to resize. Go to the Advanced Options and try various things. I make a new folder when first playing around with the options until I get what I want. Now it pretty much stays set the same all the time.

The main thing here is to use the 'rename' option until you're very familiar with the program, otherwise you'll lose the originals. I always leave that option checked, just in case one o' those 'blonde moments' should strike. Big Grin
