With the way ebay is set up now its real easy for a buyer to not know there are addition pictures in the body of the listing. Even I sometimes forget. I go to a ebay listing the first thing I see is the picture. When there is only one depending on what it is I am apt to just move on thinking that 1 picture isn't enough information and not even go to the description.
Since our pictures through auctiva only show the 1 picture at top I would recommend that auctiva find a way to make our gallery picture automatically watermark with something like .... Additional pictures below.
I just dont have time with the amount of listings I do to go in and watermark all the gallery pictures myself.

I heartily agree. I have devised a way of dealing with it: I have a slip of paper that says, "Please scroll down for additional photos and item description paragraph" that I put next to the item while taking the photo. I don't do it with every item, but I do where there are important flaws or where the extra photos are otherwise very important. This has helped a lot, I think.
