Ive turned off the scrolling gallery, and the counter, yet they're still being inserted into my ebay auctions. So I opened a help request, and surprise surprise, sit down for this one cause I know you'll be shocked...per usual from the expected poor customer service of auctiva, I got a canned response telling me that auctiva cant take them out of active listings, and then explained to me how to prevent them from being inserted into future ads. Well dont you think I already turned off the features? Dont you think that I even mentioned that in my original email to "customer support", and I use those words very loosely. So my next step was that I was left with no other choice but to close my auctiva account, including all paid features. Heres another shocker, i know, if your not sitting down, pull up a chair...even after closing my auctiva account, the scrolling gallery and counters are still being inserted into my ads, days after I closed the auctiva account. So I send another support request, to which I have not received a response, and I honestly expect it to be exactly the same as the first one, a canned response telling me how to go into my account settings and turn them off myself. The ebay token isnt even valid anymore, so why are they STILL being inserted into my auctoins? The problem is, is that i also pay for a service called MYSTOREMAPS, and the poor code created by auctiva, is mixing with my storemaps code, and causing havoc in my ads, and most likely causing me to lose sales and making people look elsewhere for what they need instead of buying from me and trying to navigate my messed up ads, thanks to auctiva, and no thanks to thier horrible customer support. I hate to do this, but my next step is to inform ebay of whats going on, and to get them to permanently block auctiva from my auctions somehow, and to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I will skip all this and just take my business elsewhere if I can just have these annoying features to stop being inserted into my ads. Thanks, for what im not sure.
Ebay and Auctiva share one common issue...they both have the worst customer support in the industry.

Hi,

I'm only aware of three ways the SG can appear on a listing:

1. The SG is automatically added to all listings at signup, per the FAQ at HELP. That's where they disappear and reappear after going through eBay Security check. Usually, that happens fairly quickly. But, it could continue for several days with a really large account (at least from one account I observed).

2. The SG is added (unless you change the setting to opt out) on any new listing submitted via the Auctiva API, i.e. they are added to code sent from Auctiva to eBay over the "wire".

3. The SG is included with a relist and/or a GTC listing, i.e. since the code is on a listing stored at eBay, a relist or GTC listing automatically includes the code.

Do you use GTC and/or Relists? If so, that might account for them appearing on new listings.

If you want to remove the SG, you need to use the revise listing editor at eBay and remove the code. The SG begins and ends with <!--ASW--> to demarc the code section. Switch the description section to HTML mode to locate the code. If you are using GTC or Relist, this should fix the problem.

You can also locate and remove the Sellathon counter in simlar fashion. I believe it looks something like <!--Begin:Sellathon--> and <!--End:Sellathon--> from memory.

Hope that helps.

Danno
