It seems to work a bit better sometimes if your browser is firefox. Mine never works in IE!

Spell checker rarely worked for me, but I solved the problem with the Firefox extension "United States English Dictionary". It was easy to install. Just google for "Firefox dictionary". It comes in many other languages as well so have patience scrolling through them. It also shows any misspellings in any form you fill out in Firefox. It is the most useful extension I've found. Even works in this box. The words google and Firefox are not in their dictionary. LOL
