Hello, We just converted our company over to Auctiva and we are in the process of getting everything setup. As far as EBay Selling Manager Pro goes, do I have to turn anything off in Selling Manager Pro so that my customers will not receive double the e-mails from us??? Please help! Wanna get all this setup asap because we have over 13,000 listings up currently.

Thank you,
Joshua

Hi Joshua, I think it would be okay if some customers were double emailed for a little while until you are all set up here. Better than no emails at all.
Once you are not going to be using SMP anymore, then i'd make sure to turn off auto emails and set up your custom auto emails here. I know you can make your own customized emails from the Sales tab, but I don't have enough sales to justify having the emails automatically sent out. You sound like a heavy duty seller that could use that type of automation though!

Best of luck
Don
some words of caution to a new user.
auctiva doesn't care about the customer.doesn't fix problems in a timely manner and especially if there aren't a lot of users with the same problem.they can't be bothered..
for me it has been a nightmare since they started charging.i have thousands of listings that were re-listed through ebay. auctiva won't do anything to keep track of them so i can't delete old pictures easily. it is to their advantage since i still have to pay for them even after they are sold.
another problem they aren't willing to fix is when you add a new picture to a closed listing and re-list it the picture doesn't show as being used and could be deleted with deletion wizard.
recently when i choose "good till canceled "when re-listing to the fixed price format it only lists for 30 days ,ends and has to be re-listed.
i haven't heard yet if they will fix this problem.
i have to spend hundreds of extra hours trying to deal with all these problems and get no help from auctiva.
they won't give my pictures back so i am trapped.
ebay used to recommend them.i wonder if they still do.

I just replied to one of your other threads, but will repost my reply here:.
Hi!
I just looked at a few of your listings that were supposed to be GTC, and I suspect (not 100% sure) that the reason eBay is not renewing them is because of this statement in your listings: "buyer mails out of usa at own risk or can purchase protection through auctiva."

Since eBay doesn't allow sellers to even hint at buying insurance, this may be why they are not renewing your listings. They will continue to not renew those listings as each 30-day-cycle ends.
auctiva recognizes these 3 issues as their problem but it is not a priority so they don't get fixed.

i am still waiting for them to fix the latest problem which they acknowlege as their issue.
when i choose GTC it shows on ebay in the listing as 30 days.

the problem is not about the insurance and i only mention it so i can give auctiva more business.i felt sorry for them when they lost the advertising dollars from ebay last summer.just trying to be loyal customer..

auctiva has told me that the other 2 problems have been put on the back burner indefinitely.

The only thing I can figure on the GTC problem is that it would have to be template related as I am up to 120 new listings this week and all are holding GTC as they have been.

I don't know how it could be template related but that would be the only difference as I use a custom template.
