That's THE only person I've seen that's selling on WP. And this seller is the only one I've seen WP toot their horn about sales-wise.

I don't know and I couldn't say for sure..but do you think the sales are inflated or somehow made to "appear" as sales?

Since there's no way of checking closed auctions for sales via search....how is one to know they aren't false sales to give the illusion of success?

Just thinking..that's all.

The check out system is just as Lure states...a mess.

Be sure to check the Tulip Tools link I placed earlier..they have SO much more info than I do.

And you're right gramma bout the second link being the site is unsuccessful when a search is done.

My Best,
Donna
one thing about tulip tools it is totally biased about wagglepop and probably many auction sites.. even before one could make any accurate understanding of the site.. tulip tools had pages upon pages of negative.... so THAT right there should stop ANY ONE looking for unbiased info ... now YES there has been some time and some negative stuff could be said ... but the way they did BEFORE PROVES totally biased and anything they say even now should be questioned.....

i think their INTEREST is for web sites to make it over auction sites... whenever you find ANY site.. FIRST CHECK what their MONEY interest is.... if they sell stuff for building web sites for example... THEY will be BIASED against auction sites being succeesful..

wagglepop... there are 2 things to REALLY look at.... how buyers will enjoy it by looking and how easy it is for buyers to buy... the first part.. the site can't be beat by any other site... BUT i don't know about going thru a transaction......when checking the checkout issue one needs to find another site other than tulip tools to find unbiased info!!!

I'M surprised that wagglepop WOULD put up the dropping numbers of stores about 250 or so and also showing the weekly sales not growing but leveling off the last few weeks..... a dishonest site would never show these..

it looks like the site will have to grow by word of mouth....if a person was to send potential buyers they bring themselves .. to either or say wagglepop or ecrater to buy their stuff.. these buyers would definitely enjoy buying from ones wagglepop store over ecrater... would that make it worth it to spend 10 dollars a month over free for ecrater??

probably would... the enjoyment of a wagglepop store seen by a buyer is much better that an ecrater store.... buyers would be more apt to come back to your wagglepop store than your ecrater... the hits from your own buyers WOULD be the same... the difference is the COMING back of the buyers you send to look..

bidville is lookin better and if ubid would change the bidville name and also their ubid name they would have a decent shot at bringing some competition to ebay...

there are alot of biases on all these sites .... always see first where they are making their money...or may be planning to make their money..
I have had a wagglepop store for a few months and I must say that I am like it. I guess I am in the minority on this one. Since the site is so new, I did not expect to make any money in the beginning, but I have. Each month I have had a nice profit. Yes, the site does have some issues to work out, but they are working on it. Automatic invoicing is scheduled to be a part of the new release. Most of us sellers do not like the way it is now. Someone also asked about a bulk lister. That tool is up and running, though I havent used it, I have heard reports that it works from other sellers.

I have over 170 subscribers to my newsletter with eBay. These are repeat buyers who will visit my site with eBay, ecraters and my own site.

They did not follow me to WP. I let them know, too.

I do know how to successfully market my items. So that's not a problem...sending customers here and there to various sites.

Word of mouth? Even though I got the word out by as many means as possible...word of mouth did no good. The buyers would rather visit my ecraters, website or my eBay.

My items did not come up in Froogle searches that I had with WP. Yet, the same items I would put up on my ecraters, bidville, blujay, website and more those would show up within 24 hours.

I'm glad it worked for you moodymama.

Everyone do your research and find what works for you. Don't visit the sites of PowersellersUnited if you feel they are biased. Don't visit TulipTools if you feel they are biased. There are plenty enough sites out there to visit that have information.

Google Wagglepop and see what comes up.

This link is a great link:
http://www.powersellersunite.com/auctionsitewatch.php

I found by using the site above doing my own research on the information supplied on closed auctions that gives a well rounded picture.

It's very important to be able to view the sell through of items, successfully closed items..if that info is not available then info is being hidden or withheld. And thats not a good sign.

Most of the sites use out of the box software thats $400.00 and it's easy to setup for members to view the closed items sellthrough rate.

For me? It was a waste of time and my energy.

Best of luck to everyone!

yes,, first look at discussion sites agendas.... like i said if you see that the site is connected in any way moneywise way from a site discussion then no sense even trying to get unbiased info.. people who are selling stuff to websites... will push websites and their agenda is NOT for an auction site to succeed so tulip tools way before there was any real evidence to analyze on wagglepop mADE anything LOOK like EVIDENCE in a very negative way..

there are clues to look at to see if a site is crooked... WP giving out the losing of 250 stores in the last 3 months.. a crooked site would VEVER do.... plus they bring out every monday the weeks sales reports.. NOW this is HUGE .. no other site does this... yes here would be the real tricks.... BUT as they were climbing fast and steady each and every week until about 6 weeks ago a couple weeks declined and over all the 6 weeks shows no growth in sales... this is NOT what a crooked site would do..

they can be lazy in focusing like when not closing a store but as you see others have closed quickly.. it may have been a case of them not focusing and now ARE... this can mean they will learn from their mistakes...

websites and sites like blujay and ecarter are mostly for the owner to do the work to get people to see his goods..... and to buy... if WP buyers can go thru a transaction ok.. then THEY will have these buyers to repeat alot better than say a site like ecrater where these buyers sees your items.. then this buyer starts the WORD OF MOUTH!!

and getting ebay buyers... very very few will get these .. websites won't other sites won't UNLESS they are most like ebay.. and here WP has this... still after all this .. this site does have great potential...
