I just posted my first item to sell. It shows up in my selling, but I cannot find it in a search and it does not show when I look for other items for sale.

It can take several hours for a new listing to show up in the Ebay searches. Check again in the morning and it should be there. If it isn't contact Ebay customer service and let them know what is going on.
First thing to do is to confirm it can be seen in your eBay active listings, generally can be seen there almost instantly, searches later, if not as Bailey24 suggests. 
I am having troubles with my auctiva scrolling gallery almost 2 weeks. It is always written My store window is curretly updating item info.
How much time should it take to update the items? During the 2 weeks i am seeing the same note. And also when i enter my store of auctiva, there is no item there eventhough I have more then 50 items in my ebay store. What should I do, please help me.

Few hours at most, you need to file a support request stating example item ebay numbers and relevant info on how you put your listing together.
