my check error said i am missing my zip code. is this the reason i can't post my auction?

ba,
Just go to edit that listing and scroll down to "shipping tools" maximize that to open and add your zip code under Location.
That should make your listing ready for posting.

I entered the zip code and it still did't resolve. is it because i did't fill out the rest of the shipping information? My sale includes shipping.

Go back to the same shipping tools and in the "shipping services" field, specify what delivery method and where it ask for (cost) enter "0" for free shipping.
Maybe that will do it for you.
