As part of our ongoing effort to improve the experience Auctiva customers receive when using our site, we have updated the Auctiva site today. Here’s a recap of these changes:
1) eBay has announced that starting March 30, 2010, all listings in the current Store Inventory Format will become Fixed Price listings. See this link for more information.
To help our sellers get ‘in synch’ with this change, we will be updating the Auctiva site on April 1 so that, going forward, new eBay listings that formerly would have been in store inventory format now must be created on the Auctiva site in fixed price format. Also, saved store inventory format listings that are revised on the Auctiva site, will henceforth be required to be re-saved and reposted as Fixed Price listings.
Please note that eBay has stated that temporarily, preexisting store inventory format listings already posted to eBay will continue to display on the eBay site, although eBay will automatically display them as fixed price format listings. We are advising Auctiva sellers to review their preexisting store format listings and change them over to fixed price format without undue delay.
2) We have upgraded our Supersized image feature so that you can enable your buyers to view larger and more detailed pictures of your items than ever before. Up to now, the largest image pixel dimensions that Auctiva could save and display as 'Supersized' image was 1024 x 768 pixels. As of today's site update, Auctiva now gives you the ability to save (and display as 'Supersized') larger images that are up to 1280 x 1024 pixels in dimension. Please note that images you have already loaded at 1024 x 768 or smaller dimensions will not display any differently, but images loaded after this upgrade will display at dimensions up to 1280 x 1024 pixels provided you loaded them at that larger size.
This Supersized image upgrade is available at no extra cost to sellers on the Basic, Unlimited, and Premium plans.
3) We have updated the eBay fee estimator to take into account the changes that eBay is making to fees as part of their update at the end of this month.
4) eBay is changing the Featured First listing enhancement to be available only to Top Rated Sellers. We have added a note to the Auctiva lister page in the Marketing Tools section to remind sellers of this.
5) Sellers registered on Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, and Singapore sites who engage in cross-border trade on sites that require a recoupment agreement (currently US, UK, and US Motors), must agree to the recoupment terms before adding a cross-border listing. We have added a note to the lister page ‘International Site Visibility’ checkbox in the Marketing Tools section to alert sellers who may be affected by this eBay requirement.
