Activating an Account that Already Exists??

I was listing today and suddenly got notice that I need to "activate my account." I've had this account for four years. I then clicked on it, thinking perhaps it was just time to make sure I am who I am, or whatever...and the activation code says "for my new account." I am afraid to click on this as I currently have 1200 listings saved to get ready to list and don't want to lose them! Is this a glitch, or what??
