Adding a tracking number on Sales Transaction page doesn't update shipping status

When I go to my Sales Transaction page, and Edit Tracking Information, in order to add a tracking number to an item I just shipped, why does Auctiva NOT mark that item as shipped?

Auctiva requires us to also manually mark the item as shipped, even tho we just added a tracking number. Is that Auctiva's intent?
