What size pics are you uploading? Anything larger than 1024x768 of course will be automatically reduced to that size and the upload will sometimes take forever. Uploading that size or smaller requires no extra processing and will upload MUCH faster (the difference on my computer is several minutes vs. a couple of seconds). I'm not saying this is necessarily your problem, but it's still good to keep in mind.
