I have some colleagues and friends who have requested specific jewellery commissions from me. They are happy to buy through eBay as it will help me boost my fledgling feedback score. Unfortunately I am just starting out and have less than 5 feedbacks so I cannot list items as 'Buy It Now'. The best I can do is to list a 3-day auction (I'm not even allowed to do 1-day ones, I think) and hope that nobody else bids.
I have seen some sellers who type something like 'Reserved Listing for <eBay ID>' as the item title, and in the description they ask that only that bidder bids.
Is this allowed or disallowed under eBay's rules? I don't want to get into trouble!!! At the same time I have made a specific pair of earrings for a specific person and I would really love to sell it to them (and they are happy to buy it) through eBay so I'm trying to see if there is anything explicit about whether this is allowed.
I'm still very new to all this so please be patient and kind to me
