Reply to "Are you allowed to create a 'reserved' auction listing in eBay?"

Yes, you can always place a Reserve Price on an Auction style listing. However, the fee for Reserve is no longer refundable.

I've never seen that "Reserved Listing for x" before. However, I think it would be best to simply list the item with the Reserve and let the auction run. Any bid at or above a Reserve Price will immediately move the bid to that price. I don't think there's anything wrong with a friend bidding and honestly buying your items, but ebay is very concerned about attempts to create false sales to gain feedback and DSRs. Just make sure you do legitimate sales, and using PayPal Preferred on listings (set in ebay preferences) and for payment does help.

Oh....and if you list with PayPal account and payment, you only need a feedback score of 5 to list 1 day duration. Wink

Good luck!
